ICO's are finally coming to an end!

ICOs are not coming to it's end even if some governments are going to stop that, it will continue, it's the best and most effective way of crowdfunding to fund a project and it's development, yes, airdrop is easy but ICO is the most effective and proper way of distribution.

I would agree with the author. It's obvious that the popularity of ICO is over. They were successful in the beginning of the year, but now there too much of them and most of them don't seem to be trustworthy. Experts say that in 2018 ICOs will be even less popular.

No way, you're right. They never come to an end. The demand is high and market participants are wanting something new and better every time they look at the market. That's why they will maintain.

I dont think it will disappear soon still ICO is a great way to collect some funds for a project It only needs real project and people to become successful.

ICO now is going to an other step: to be like ventures, and to make an ICO it would need a real product before. As it was a lot of scum projects ICOs is turning to be more for big crypto investors and funds, then to all who wants, like it was before. I hope that it will turn to better projects and not that scum that it was.

You taking about the airdrop scam doesn't bring ICO to an end because there are many ICOs out there that are still receiving millions in their crowdsale and as a matter of fact there are still some outstanding ICOs coming up in 2018.

There are self regulation, KYC processors and more projects for better ICO. But for scam ICO yes end is coming.

ICOs wont stop until the greedy people still there,a lot of people invested in ICOs didnt get any return but not all ICOs are useless there are few that will give you profits you jsut need to pick the best ICO research is the key.

Scam ICO's could diminish this kind of crowd funding, but it seems like these scams are disappearing from the scene and legitimate ICO's do find their way to investors and raise the amount they look for. Well thought projects will have successful ICO's, so there's no end to this kind of fund raising.

Agreed. I also can't understand why people hate ICOs so much. What's the point? Who cares? Nobody looses from ICOs, only some people wins. Also not all the ICO are scam, some of them made by real talented people who has no money on development.

The inevitable consequences of all scams and frauds around ICO's are a raising attention to project selection criteria and higher requirements to the level of these criteria from potential investors. As the result, less and less projects can count on successful attraction of money through ICO. If the chances to attract capital gets miserable, the more projects will decide not to test the water at all.

ICOs still have oportunities, of course depending in the sources, the team and the product, investors will have to aplied more and more conditions to an ICOs team that will decreased the number of ICOs.

Finally. I think that due to the recent flurry of airdrop scams, ICO's received almost no attention and now that the airdrop scams are receding, the attention to ICO's has pretty much diminished. Now, the hype is all around masternodes but that will soon go away as well. I guess, the real question is, what is next??

I only wish it were true that ICO's were going away. The majority of the are nothing more than smoke and mrrors.
