Sell few of the bitcoins and hold the remaining for future. And with the money which you will get after selling the bitcoins, use them for the project which you was talking about. I like the idea of your project to solve the problem that other crypto currencies are facing.

Give it to me Wink. Jokes apart. Convert to fiat about 25% of BTC now. Invest in other valuable cryptocurrencies for about 25%. Hodl the remaining 50%.

Only if he needs money badly so you can get a lot of money from a portion of your Bitcoin but today Bitcoin is actually a virtual bank that when you just let your money stay on virtual bank and watch it grow after time.
It's also a clever decision to make investments into Altcoins but not all of it. I recommend investing in top 10 or 20 Altcoins because they're pumping every day and most of all choose wisely.

That would be beneficial if you're a skilled trader otherwise holding Bitcoin is a clever decision. Everyone is holding it because we are all expecting Bitcoin will grow everyday.

You have good amount of Bitcoin. Hold tight, and do nothing if you have no urgent need of money. Bitcoin is the fastest growing asset.

First of all, I'm very envious that you have 12 bitcoins, and I only have 0.5 bitcoins myself, and I think the best way to treat bitcoin is to hold it, historical proof. It is foolish to sell at any time.Welcome to the game.

If you have other cryptocurrencies beside Bitcoin, than yoz should Hodl and wait the bitcoin skyrocket. If Bitcoins are only cryptocurrency that you have, you can take 1 Bitcoin and invest in some altcoins. Make your own research and invest based on your preferences.

You hold 10 bitcoins, and I suggest you choose to sell 2-3 bitcoins for $11000, and then 2 bitcoins to invest in other COINS, leaving 5 to continue holding.

I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.

My question is, what do I do now?

As far as I can see, I have 4 options;

1) Hold the Bitcoin

2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin

3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.

4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)

Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.

A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:

Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams (after bribing a few of the devs, I got massive discounts in comparison to market prices and drove the volume up on their respective markets to get them listed on coinmarketcap which catapulted their price). Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.

Getting 12 bitcoin in just 6 months is an impressive increase of money however creating your own cryptocurrency will have pros and cons and of course you must be willing to take risks in order for you to create a good one. If I were i will keep holding the 12 bitcoin and let it increase.

the first option is the best answer
you can also invest in some altcoin but just a small amount and hold bitcoin atleast 50% or more

There is only one choice to keep it. To keep for as long as I can. Read the article the analyst says that in 2018 BITCOIN will cost 40 thousand. And the next possible correction in the area of 25 thousand. Well, bitcoin is already almost 11 thousand.
I think 90% need to keep. 10 percent can be put into altcoins

High risk high payoff

Amazing how sure people are about bitcoins success.
It could very well be true but I would (with 12 damn btc) at least cash out two of them as a hedge.
My personal opinion....

For fear of unknown, just divide your coins into two. Invest one part in other altcoins and use the other part to pursue the same activity that made you the initial profit.
