Good job, just diversify and make sure you have clean safe storage so it doesn't get stolen and keep investing then just take off the top for living expenses and keep growing your bankroll!

If you could increase your balance to 12 btc from 1000 usd, you should give us some advices. How could you do it? Especially when all altcoins are going down it is really very hard to increase bitcoin quantity. You should share your portfolio.

Depends if you need the money - personally I would be holding Bitcoin for now 12 coins is a nice amount You could always invest in a ICO like https://novablitz.com https://t.me/Novablitz depends on where your interests lay I guess?

Well cash out half asap. The rest you can diversify into some ICO's , like TokenPay. This is a must for everyone of us. Website - > https://www.tokenpay.com/Thread - > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2400499.0

Just relax and be happy But seriously, I believe you should just keep a largest part (let's say 8 btc) and the rest convert into most promising alts. That would be the most profiting way

I am guessing you don't need the money hence you are asking the question.
If you hold, you will earn money. Not fast but it will increase and that's always nice.
Buying alt coins, there is a lot of rubbish out there and you could lose a lot.
Make your own? This sounds like a massive headache and again you have a lot of competition so are you the best man for it?
Convert to fiat. Boring
I would leave most of it in bitcoin as that's always going to do well. Maybe 2/3 I would convert to some smaller coins showing a lot of promise. Take a look at ETH, ONION, ETH or MIOTA.

I think it is better if you hold your coins for a while more. Bitcoin's price is rising gradually and maybe you can catch better profits by holding.

Looking at how you earned your bitcoins, I think that 2nd option is the best for you, because you have the intuition and the courage to make the right decisions and choose the right suggestions. But, if I was you, I hold on the bitcoins.

I recommend you to just hold it because bitcoin is already an investment. Bitcoin in the future will be much more expensive and do not sell bitcoin even if you need money.

Oh, I wish I were you!!! I think you can chose the 1st and 2nd options and it will be good both. The 1st one is more reliable and the 2nd one can be more profitable.

Bitcoin has almost reached its peak and I strongly suggest you to wait for ten more days and sell it. I am guessing the market will have a severe dump after the new year, so your best bet would be to withdraw whatever you have right now and then buy again when market is in dip again, That is the best way to make money in this market.

You can split your portfolio with a diversify investement: 50% in bitcoin 40% in solid and consolidated cryptocurrencies like ethereum, dash, monero 5% in altcoin, where you can make a short term investment and also do trading if you are able to 5% in ICO (I personally suggest you to follow the ICO that will be done from the Gilgamesh project, they have a top notch team)

I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.
My question is, what do I do now?
As far as I can see, I have 4 options;
1) Hold the Bitcoin
2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin
3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.
4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)
Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.
A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:
Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.
That is a lot of cash actually knowing that bitcoins are very expensive this time almost $14k so do not let that opportunity take away from you. You must secure your money and in order to do that you need to diversify your money into different categories like banks other cryptos and a lot more because we cannot say and awe cannot know when will be the bitcoins end and when will they fall huge so we better be ready and have a lot of back up plans. And also the best thing to do is to built your own business to continue the income.

I propose the fifth option. Give it to someone who knows what to do with these bitcoins. The author clearly does not need them. I feel that he is burdened by this possession.
