I would choose the first option. Holding is the easiest and most reliable way with so much bitcoins. I think bitcoin will expect growth this year

Edit: I have now invested 100% into Skycoin I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least. My question is, what do I do now? As far as I can see, I have 4 options;1) Hold the Bitcoin
2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin
3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.
4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary: Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit. I personally thing 2 is the wisest decision to make, I always invest my money

Right now I would be holding them. The price of Bitcoin is not good to sell at the moment, so if you don't need the money, better hold and wait for price increase.

Investing everything in a single coin was extremely risky, I know that you seem to be a talented investor and trader but at the same time you could have easily invested in a lot more projects, if for some reason something goes wrong you may need to start from the beginning and that is never a good thing especially since the price of bitcoin is going to grow even more in the year. I believe that Anonymous Kid just promoting Skycoin - investing everything in a single coin was extremely non sense

The most logical step would be to put some BTC away and forget about it. You'll need that as your livelihood/it's good to secure some profits. Take the rest and start investing, this climate is still ripe for good gains. Once you've accrued more wealth, if you're really serious, then you can start your own coin. Or go and join a team.

Same as you I have 13 Bitcoins and my plan is to hold 50% than invest into other coins like Verge, Ripple, Tron and Oyster. While I have a full time job that's enough to support my family needs I want to invest in Altcoins and watch them grow. I will never dump them unless I need funds for my project like house renovation and other important personal needs.

I did not see any point, you started with the lower amount of poem And have managed to get 12 Bitcoin which is not nearly normal and now you're asking what you should do with that. First, you should invest somewhere just like you have invested it till now. If you ask other people we are just going to say convert it into a faint when you hold your coin. By the way, it's good that you have invested your money in Skycoin. When I do not believe in on altcoins much because they are much violent.

if I had 12 bitcoins, I would leave 6 bitcoins on a cold purse, I would buy 3 bitcoins ETH, Xem, Strat. At 1 bitcoin would be invested in ICO (for example: GONetWork), for the remaining 2 bitcoins bought low-capitalized coins, but with high growth potential (WaBi, ICX, DRGN, Nebl)

I think you have done a great job until now. Maybe you should divide it into two. You can keep hold a half and the rest you can invest it in ALT coin. After that you can keep working, waiting and enjoying the result in the future. Everything is your own decision. Just think about it wisely. I hope you will get the best.

I would say either hold it in btc or invest in a number of currencies you have been researching.
I mean selling 1 or 2 btc could be a good idea for a safe bet though

Melt a little for your needs for 3 months. and hold 30% btc. 40% for trading. the rest you can use to buy a coin that is potentially big will rise in this year. this is very useful for you
