Why have no other alt exchanges been set up? cryptsy is the only good one that is why they are screwed everyone is heading there.

Since the problems with Cryptsy have been dragging on with no real improvements, I've begun to explore Coinex.pw. The exchange rates on some of the coins have been comparable with some a little higher and some a little lower. The volume is nowhere near as high as Cryptsy, and it's in beta with a few quirks of its own, but it works.

That's a good thing. What I actually wanted to get information about are the trades. Are they processing as they should be?

It works a little better now, methinks. However, some coin prices have never recovered from the glitch. Hard to say what would have happened otherwise. But the way I see it, cryptsy has become an involuntary influence to the market of altcoins. It would be best to have working alternatives in case it happens again.

Soo... when you cancel an order how long does your money disappear for?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I my case, when I cancelled an order it did take quite some time for the funds to magically reappear.

So at any rate it took 3 to 4 hours and wham just like that they were back in my balances page and shown on all the pages as well just as they usually are. Kinda weird how that one occurs. From seemingly all gone to magically reappearing was a head turner!

So maybe try not to place any orders you might want to modify/cancel as that suddenly is a bit buggy at least some of the time. Or at least it was a day or two ago.

Cryptsy has proven to those of us that have been there a little while that their a good team. They have my confidence. They earned it.

Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware!

Am I the only one who cant buy or sell starcoin?

Skelephtna

No, you are not the only one. The market was taken down awhile back and they refuse to answer any questions about it, even though their wallet is synced up with the correct block chain and the coin is running fine.

Friendly reminder to everyone who had issues with Cryptsy and voicing them to put this user on ignore --> BitcoinEXpress

Now your stupid order book wipe-out has cost me real money. I bought lots of coins yesterday at a much higher price level and your fucking glitch immediately made it possible for people to buy virtually at zero. My buy orders - on top of it - were simply ignored. WTF is this? Seriously.

First off,

Did you ask for a refund on your subscription fees to Cryptsy?

Oh wait, it's a free site. In fact it's the only place you can trade 80% of these shit coins and you cry about an expected issue during a time where they are experiencing peak new account registrations at more than 3000 per day whilst undergoing a huge overall site restructure.

For days they have been telling people things like this would happen and you're stunned to learn that you aren't an exception LOL....

So while he is wayyyyy toooooo coooool to say it, allow me to deliver a message all the way from Afghanistan where he is working on the customer service issues in his spare time chilaxing in a war zone!

Please take it to heart!

Give it more time. First I'd like to see the performance be at it's best.
One issue at a time, but obviously they can't take too much time to fix them.

It's a disgrace and is damaging alts in a very big way.

Fully agreed. Lost a lot of money. A LOT of money. I'm mostly in forks. Complete order cancellation, big advantage to some peoples/bots - and voila. My depo from n*btc are n/100*btc. Thanx, cryptsy.

some trades work fast; some trades work slow

some markets have overlapping orderbooks for dozens of minutes waiting

The only thing I am still noticing is some minor lag.

Haven't seen the issues you guys are crying about and my support tickets are getting answered pretty quickly.

I've deposited, withdrawn and traded LTC, FTC, CAP, GLD, GLX, IXC and PXC in fairly large amounts.

Again no real issues other than speed.

~BCX~

Good for you.

I tried to buy and sell WDC/BTC by actually clicking on existing order in the books, my orders get placed, no trade occurs even though I can still see the orders I was selecting in the books, half an hour later I cancel my orders and go to another exchange to trade.

Better than placing an order twice because you think it didn't work the first time, and you end up trading twice more than you wanted...
