Every Cryptsy point I ever earned has been removed and now I have negative Cryptsy points. So I have to actually buy some... yes... to be able to withdraw.
edit - ha... Breaking news Cryptsy points up 20%. I kid you not - go check.

I am worried that they discovered their Cryptsy Points calculation was wrong (i.e. they were depositing too many Cryptsy Points into accounts).
The more I think about it, the more likely I think this is. Based on https://www.cryptsy.com/users/cryptsypoints: How Many Points Will I Earn?
Each point has a reward value of 0.001 BTC. You will earn points based on 4% of the trade fees collected on your account. You will also earn points based on 1% of the trade fees collected from your referrals.
So lets say you paid out 0.1 BTC in trade fees in a given day and you had 10 referred users which also paid 0.1 BTC in trade fees each on that day.
Points Earned Directly 4 CP Points Earned from Referrals 10 CP Total Points Earned that Day 14 CP
40 CP corresponds to 1BTC in trade fees, or a turnover on an account of roughly 400 BTC, assuming an average trade fee of 0.25%. Scaling these numbers up to my account, I get what seems like a totally preposterous turnover, which suggests something is amiss. If there's a mistake in the above calculation, someone please point it out!

Yep. Now i need to buy.. mmm a lot of cp's. Vern&John mistakes lead to user losses. Thanx again. To withdraw all that is stuck here i need to spend more than a half of btc. Users must pay for calculation mistakes. Users must pay for bad trade engine. No, thanx. When i finish with cp's i'm fully out. No more cryptsy for me, until they fix all that they have now and until they return their lost reputation.

Well they've certainly done their dash with me (a user from the start). still had no resolution from lost btc, xpm, and buk from many days ago, just generic replies that its been resolved.
Errors fair enough but no resolution and just closing tickets as if there was.
What also concerns me I have rather complex trading and a wide portfolio, but I am very use to managing such (as irl I'm a pro trader), and I've matched up odds and ends that are missing, so how many are missing coins they've not noticed?

Me too lost enough - lebowskis (~1.2btc), cent (~600ltc), huge losses at 1-3 dec (~20btc) when i've started some pumps and they broken everything, killed all orders and because of that there was a panic that killed my pumps and money. Enough for me.

of all exchanges you know, which one got owner response to your query/request/job ticket?
with BTCE, you lucky if your ticket got response at all. and they are considered one of the big 3.

indeed, btc-e i dont think they spoke english outside of google translate, and they let a ton of accounts get compromised by brute force.

WTF? Help! Why my dogecoin withdraw pending? Nick the same. Did you bought enough CryptsyPoints to cover your negative balance? No? Then go and buy at higher price before price get much higher. Cover cryptsy team mistakes buy your balance then they will proceed your withdraw. Maybe. PS: was there from first days, from beginning. There was much, much better before. PPS: about 4-5 weeks ago when i tried to login i logged in by some other person. I saw his name/login/email/balances/orders/trades... i did nothing with his accout, just watched about 2 hours how he trades (yes, he traded at that time). Then i'm just logged out and warned myself that this is a bad sign. Someone can enter at other person account and do anything he want. But i did nothing to protect my deposit. It was my mistake. One or two weeks after that crypsy started to fall down to craptsy.

Actually at this point you will get a response faster than BTC-e than from Cryptsy, which is pretty sad. The only difference is BTC-E doesn't have 300 critical failures a day. NOTE: I now have over -900 points now. Another big win for Cryptsy.

BitJohn, I know you monitor this thread, so I want to know 2 things: - BigVern tweeted that CENT was back online, but why is it not listed?
- Has the issue involving CENT being sold for less than the amount specified in the order been resolved?
Further, I know you have been swamped with new users, but it has been nearly a week and I have yet to hear about my issue with Cryptsy shorting me XPM by selling CENT less than the floor I put in the sell order. I lost quite a bit of XPM. My tickets are 41023/41030, where the latter is an attachment containing a list of my CENT transactions with the problem orders in question marked. Thank you in advance. While others are content to bad mouth cryptsy, I am willing to give some leeway in your growing pains. However, I do think it is silly to add garbage shitcoins like Betacoin, when it seems like you are overwhelmed with supporting existing coins.

Entz the points issue is being addressed right now should fix after this sitewide audit.
Still not fixed after 10 hrs. Is the audit still on going or are the other users correct, there was a major problem in the calculations?

Yeah, Cryptsy is ballooning fast with alot of these ultra thinly traded alt-coins. Hope these guys have a better growth plan beyond throwing any new coin in existence. Performance slows down and we get trading lags. Sometimes canceled orders never get canceled -- case in point with WDC yesterday -- too much volume for the systems to efficiently handle. Growth is great and I commend Cryptsy for providing a trading avenue for these new coins but let's get some standards please. I rather have more time spent preventing errors like these negative Cryptsy points than adding more crap coins. And can all these wallets be secured 100% all the time? My concern is juggling too many wallets creates more potential for human error regarding security.

Entz, they will not return cp' or f*ck up again users. CP's - it's their bitcoins for a fees from trades. Their calculations was wrong (i think more than ~20-30 times vs planned). When they understand that they are pays too much (more than they collect from fees) - they decided to change formula (correct formula) and run script that recalculates what's in database. From the beginning. Yes. It's has no affect on users who not sold any CP's, but kicks ass from users who sold CP's from first day till the end (first 3-4 days has miscalculations). By this recalc they are compensate by users balances their mistakes/errors. Users, who sold huge amount of CP's at the beginning now has big negative balances. And they _must_ rebuy CP's to cover negative balance. Lucky is only first rebuyers, who seen what happened - they have chances to buy much lower than they sold before (but with negative impact on balance.. because they need to spend btc's that they think it was a profit). But each new user understands that he cannot withdraw anything and decides to buy cp's - going to bad situation. Price is rising like crazy (some users are bought cp's more then needed... to take profit from other users losses).... This is another shit from cryptsy. They didn't speak to us. Just like fishes - not any words what happens now and what will be next. We just kicking out asses/heads in new problems each new second. In closest period of time there will be no more CP's to sell.... price will rise NNN times... That's the problem for those, who didn't seen their balances till now... If their trade engine so slow and buggy - then best what they can do is give fore each highfrequencytradeable pair one/more dedicated server. But their engine can't do that. And their engine works with orders not in chain-like sequence, but in semi-parallel. One part is placing/cancelling orders, other part is refunds/draw coing for that orders, etc. So when one of these parts are lagging hard - other part making huge mistakes. For example: we placing order "all in". "Placer" checks balance and see that there is enough main coins to place order. And queue order for "drawer-refunder". "Drawer" is busy drawing from other old requests. Now user see that no order showed up - he tries to place again. And "placer" checks balance and see again that there is enough main coins to place order. And queue new order for "drawer". Then "drawer" made what is he need to do before and get our 1st queue request to place order. He draws main coins for that order. Balance now is zero, because we placed "all in". Then "drawer" taking next order from queue and.... without checks (!! yes, it's a programming error !!) draws main coins again. And from that moment we have -2*coins... I hope you understand what i'm saying.

Points maintenance taking longer than expected process crashed its catching up now. Withdraws wont be stopped anymore from a negative balance. Going to put a couple re posts in this thread of replies I have made elsewhere. 65000+ new users in 25 days approximately. At the current rate there will be 100,000 new users next week. The problem is sheer load we have made major investments in hardware and manpower to address this. These investments are not realized overnight shipping. installation and training are required essentially it takes time. I would start expecting to see the results of these investments in people and hardware in the very near future we have already made tremendous improvements as it stands.
Guys sorry for the delays. If you have a support issue outstanding we will get to you. New staff is able to handle more and more types of tickets which frees the experienced staff up to get to the harder ticket types. all accounts are locked now at cryptsy. Negative balance in cryptsy-points appear. I have a negative balance over more points than i ever owned. And my withdrawals are locked. Every day there is a new surprise with these guys.
I just want to trade a little bit. Is that too much to ask? Batch doing the maintenance on points crashed catching back up now. We changed it so you can withdraw now regardless of that status.
