Let us keep pushing brand new coins onto the exchange. I mean why not, coins are created just for trading; seems like it.

PHS   Created   July 28, 2013, 07:50:17 AM
STR    Created   July 19, 2013, 02:28:15 PM
ELP   Created   July 15, 2013, 05:45:04 AM
RED   Created   June 30, 2013, 04:37:45 AM

Without the coins being listed on major exchanges, it's difficult for a lot of people to gamble on mining it (they can calculate a rough estimate of the value...but not much beyond that.)

I'm spending $2000+ each month on power mining currencies...and it's easier to calculate a rough ROI when a currency is being actively traded on exchanges. Also, I like to trickle some out there to help pay the bills. It's an important part of investing in digital currencies.

Are you trying to say all of these coins are too new to be listed? Or are you trying to make a case for RED? I'm confused as to what point you are trying to make.

If there is a demand, stability, high enough projected volume, and the coins had legitimate launches, I don't understand an argument against them being listed.

I was making a case for the length of time lately that certain coins have not even came close to. I feel that a coin needs a few services running, like block explorers, pools, info pages, etc. Some of the coins listed in the above list fail on multiple categories and should not be trying to get on "the list." On the other hand, I do believe that there are many coins that had all of these services at the start but were still worthless, and should never see an exchange; pre-mines, false promises, have "for science" in the name, etc. Other concerns can include, do these coins have a purpose other than a clever name or algo. Just my opinion on a murky subject, of course the early adopters and devs want to see value from their work, I also would like to see a couple of coins on the exchange that have not made it yet.

Star coin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=259012.msg2762216#msg2762216 No block explorer, website doesn't work, Released on low traffic forum with no notice, etc.

Philosopher's stone https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=263744.msg2818349#msg2818349 No Block explorer, no purpose other than to generate interest with POS.

Red Coin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=246693.msg2616494#msg2616494 Surprisingly seems like a viable candidate considering it is already being exchanged on another site. 1mil premine

Elephant Coin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=256501.msg2732415#msg2732415 Has some different aspects, but still doesn't have a use other than to mine and exchange for other coins. Also live on the same exchange as Red coin. 1.36 Mil premine

So if you don't mind a pre-mine or lack of services all of the above coins will fit.

Cryptsy started asking me for all these personal security info and questions today, so I pulled my coins out. Don't like the sound of that.

I also don't like all these personal questions.

I will not answer them.

But, until now, there is no obligation to do so.

As long as it's not mandatory to answer these questions, I will continue to use cryptsy.

Can you please pay attention to the efforts that some devs and small communities have put into their coins. GME was dead but it was revived successfully and has gained more users than most of the coins you have added in a month, we are tired of jumping through hoops yet being overlooked. Baby coins barely a week old are given preference to coins that have shown an actual community, though we do not know your criteria, i am sure we have done passably well already.

Again put anything you want for the questions most folks use a pass phrase. If you don't use them we cant verify your you if you lose access to account and original email. Remember favorite teddy bear answer can be 10101100 if you want were not looking for real answers just answers you can answer.

Also reviewing some of the options I'm a tad concerned what folks think we would do with favorite teddy bears name and your first pets name even if they were factual. Think of them as secondary passwords if your concerned just know the answers so if your do lose access I can ensure the right person is getting his/her access back.

The list is public domain I update it regularly. Gamecoin is on the latest update and rated pretty well. The update to GME is about as new as some of the coins you mentioned.

I would be interested in seeing some more LTC markets open -- can you say what determines whether a new alt will be traded against BTC or LTC?

The 0.1 minimum for LTC trading is annoying.

Mostly because I want to DVC -> LTC -> BTC.
Yep, I can feel you.

Glad someone else is drawing attention to this.

Dev jumped the gun on launch date (on a tuesday, he told the world it was to be launched Sunday. On Wednesday it was announced the coin had been launched 30 minutes prior)

Dev took a huge premine 1mm (ie 1% of all coins ever), has given away a couple but still likely owns 800k of the 1.2mm that are in existance. He now leads the charge for an exchange listing in order to make trades "safer" and to that end has created several sock puppets (personas registered afte the launch of cloud coin, who have only ever posted on cloud coin boards, who talk about how great cloud coin is and that it needs to be listed on cryptsy so that trades can, again, be made safer.

His network had 25 megahash. So that's in the range of 50-100 miners if you're overly optimistic.

Everything about it says short sighted scam, from the inability to stick to the Launch schedule he put forward, to the blatant use of sock puppets.

Please avoid. This is only someone trying to take advantage. I'm ok with altcoins, even copy and paste jobs. Bit I'm not okay with lying to the community, springing a huge premine in and pulling his other antics.

Cloud coin. CDC. Avoid like the plague.

Vao. That was a really comprehensive comment. "Has given away a couple" - you have no idea how many coins had been given away.

Also you have no idea about how premine works. You are just a kid from the forum who is reading topics and thinks that premine is terrible.

Let me tell you something. Without the premine we would not have cryptometer.org, 2 mining pools, 3rd mining pool under development, recently released online e-wallet, and a possible Krugercoin cloudcoin alliance.

Please kid, right now I have 300 000 CDC left and they are also gonna be spent on development. We are talking about 1-2 thousand dollars. That is what I earn within a week with my job. This will not make me rich dude. This is not about that. I am just interested in alt coins and I would like to build something with my team.

If we were talking about more money than a grandpa's monthly old age pension that You would have a point.
But right now you are complaining without any brain about nothing.

Here is an idea, don't make a coin if you cannot afford to pay for services. Selling the public on the idea that a pre-mine is necessary is just plain garbage. It comes down to laziness, if you have a great product people will support it without payment.
