It will take many years for us to understand the full impact that this technology has in our lives. I compare it as the invention of the internet. Nowadays you cannot imagine doing research and share knowledge and collaborating without the internet. The same will be after 30 or 40 years, where people could not imagine how to do transactions with a need of a trusted party, as we do today.

You are right, this is exactly the big point about blockchain and why it is so incredible. Bitcoin is just one of the numerous applications of the blockchain network. It's a very valuable one of course, because we need trust in order to be able to spend our money, and that's why banks were created. With blockchain we have trust over the internet, and banks will probably disappear. Not saying fiat will disappear, because governments will probably just create their crypto version of fiat. The only possible way for fiat to disappear would be for governments to disappear as well, and we would need to have a democracy based on the blockchain as well.
Anyway, blockchain technology is here to stay, and it will be used in many areas of our lives (finance being just one of them). Of course a lot of things need to be done, and it's scalability issues need to be solved.

I see extremely high level of redundancy as the bottleneck of Blockchain.

Now everyone keeps the history of all bitcoin transactions in local database. How big the decentralized db can get? Someone asked `why not create decentralized twitter` here - this is a good idea, but what about practical implementation? Everyone keeps the history of *all* tweets? Everyone has to download 100's of GB of data to see most recent tweets? It does not seem to be practically feasible.

I wonder if there are blockchain implementations that can bypass this limit.

In the future, hard disks will be 100 times larger than current ones. I think so

Blockchain technology is a technology that has made a very significant change to all aspects of human life because this technology is widely adapted in programs or projects about everyday human life as an example, as a medical record tool in the world of health, energy conservation, agriculture and of course the use  in banking world, and many more. And the future of blockchain technology gets brighter with more use of blockchain technology that scientists have not yet explored.

It could be bright if there are many flaws that are corrected within the time. We know very well that there are scale up issues for the blockchain, the size of the block was changed once but still we are lacking that quality and quantity in it. If we don't find any solution real soon then it could be bad startup really. I mean we do have technology like this called as Swift tech. This is being used in the banking sector widely and we know very how smoothly everything runs in that system. We need something brighter than that so that blockchain could differ itself from other techs.
