I guess we'll start to see in a few weeks.. I have the cost of a moderate house riding on KNC and the cost of a compact car riding on BitFury. I bought a crapload of BFL stuff, too, but it's likely to be worthless by the time it's delivered.
I know that this argument has been done to death but if you really are putting that kind of capital into mining hardware you would be much better served just buying BTC on the dips and riding waves. Mining profit potential will be decreasing drastically and we do not know if any vendor can even meet their deadlines. BTC profit potential is much greater with discipline and a good strategy. Just saying Cablez, Miners is miners and traders is traders...and never the twain shall meet... In a way you are right. I do both and am not very good at either. lol

Same. I bought some coins and I bought some mining hardware. I'm interested in ROI I but i'm also here for the long haul and probably will be hoarding my coins and not selling immediately to cover expenses. I guess we'll start to see in a few weeks.. Probably as end of November comes around, ROI will be so slow that in order to really make any money, you'll need to get a 100TH machine. Hopefully by then you will have mined enough to pay for that. It's a mad cycle!!

Pretty much. I'm already stroking my beard like... hmmm should I buy 3 more H-Boards or not? It'll be interesting to see who wins the arms race in a years time and how =) Probably as end of November comes around, ROI will be so slow that in order to really make any money, you'll need to get a 100TH machine. The only ones that win the arms race are the one building the arms.

Its a mining race. Just like the gold rushes, the people that make out the most are the people selling the mining tools. If you mine and sell tools then you have the best of both worlds. In this race there will be a handful of winners, while most will barely pass ROI or worse.

I put a refund request into BFL, no response. Of the three companies (BFL, KnC, BitFury) BFL has been the least responsive to all email I've sent. The email I've sent to either KnC or BitFury has been answered in under a day. /cet

A few days ago. Since then I've seen a note in the BFL forums indicating that Josh has set a no refund policy. Other posts indicate that refunds take 3-4 days to process, and then a while longer to post to your bank account. /cet

I think that whoever actually produces and delivers, on time and as promised, an economical product can own this market. (I'm not counting BFL as delivering - one days worth of orders shipped per week with more than a years worth of backlog is NOT delivering)

Sir why do you not join the Bitfury team, you look same foo w/o any plans to the future production. Renting factory space 5000$...& more Hire the people 20-40 10k-20k each month Salaries Minig chips = taiwan minimum 10 000 pieces waiting time 30-60 days Cost of sony emcs cnc machines...do not beter ask just pay twice for outsourcing work At the end you got stupid employees who make smoking and burning asics units like in BFL case. I like An American people seeing at the end cheap product but unable realize the all cost of mass production.

Look what showed up today These are not for August product - of course that goes directly to pcb fab. Tytus sent me this. Wow! A nine track tape! I haven't seen one of those in years. You still have a working drive to read that bad boy? NOTE: Okay, Mr. Moderator, you may delete this without any bad feeling from me. I just couldn't resist the visual similarity. I apologize in advance. Out for the weekend.
