When do you know its time to sell your altcoins?

It is very difficult to determine when it is time to sell. For myself, I realized that you should never be greedy and do not blame yourself for what you sold too cheap. You never know where the price might go.

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss. 

I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%.  Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.

Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.

The time to sell most of the Altcoins will come no earlier than Bitcoin will try again to overcome new heights. During this year, many coins fell 50 or even 100 times. While Bitcoin does not update its maximum - they will not return to their previous level.

Good, this what I do whenever I invest in a coin some particular amounts let say $1000 when the coin make such huge profit like 50%-100% i sell out worth of my investment plus 20% that's $1200. Make the 200 as instant gain and leave the rest of the coin who knows what next it gonna happen even more than 500% still a gain

My trigger to sell is when I need to convert it to cash and use that cash within a week.
If not, I try to preserve value by using a stable coin like USDT, TUSD or USDC  at least 10-20% of my portfolio.

when is the right time to sell coins? it's easy, when the price is high and can't rise anymore. that's the right time to sell it. it's impossible when the price is still low you immediately sell it.

I think and in my opinion the best time to sell the altcoins is when you have analyzed the situation and found out that it is already a good time since the price of the coins are good and that the price of the coins are viable for monetization. You still need to be very careful at that point.

The elliot waves pattern is good when the volatility is high and i don't think you can trade all altcoins by elliot waves theory. For altcoins, especially the new projects i always find it hard when to sell them.

I determine time to sell, when new people come and buy cryptocurrencies. When people on bitcointalk say, that bitcoin and altcoins are scam, it is time to buy.

When best time to sell the altcoins is depends in your situation, but for me the best time to sell the altcoin is after few weeks listing in exchange, the first week must be dump from bounty hunter and then several weeks after the dump there must be a pump period. Don't be greedy in this time because you don't know when the pump is end. Target your profit from you investment, 25% or 50% is all yours to choose. And when the time is come don't hesitate to sell it immediately
