It is not bad decision, I can bet that Bitcoin is the safest and most trusted cryptocurrency. So if cryptocurrencies have future, Bitcoin will also surely have. But this we can´t tell about every altcoin.

I agree. Sometimes it is better to sell alts for bitcoin especially of it losing the value and you do not know if it has potential to grow again. I do that because especially when alts has good value rather waiting for more increase I better keep it as bitcoin because there is a gain in alts and it is time to keep it on bitcoin which is safe that it will grow even more. |

You don’t need to sell your coins right now because this is a very bad idea because in the future you will be able to buy them much at higher prices.

I think that while it is not necessary to sell or buy altcoins or Bitcoin. At the moment the market is weak and most likely it will fall again, but it will be the last time.

No I will not trade my altcoins to bitcoin for now since most of the alts I hold is still on the downtrend, I still believe that I will gain more profits on my alts even though bitcoin is the strongest crypto and have a great potential in the long run.

I think a lot of people now will be selling their altcoins for bitcoin because they want to accumulate Bitcoin for the big bull run they feel is coming in the Spring. I do not know for sure if it will come so soon because I feel it may come much later than that, perhaps in autumn or late winter going into 2020 before the Bitcoin halving. Let us see what will happen but I do not own any Bitcoin right now so not so sure what is going to happen but I would like to get some.

I also think it's time to stock up on bitcoins. Now I try to get rid of some altcoins that are of no value and invest in bitcoin. But I also have some promising altcoins that I will keep.

Of course, it depends on what altcoins you have.
Typically btc will almost always outperform any other coins.
There are specific time periods where alts can outperform, but you would need to liquidate it at the right time.
People typically don't do that.
Instead, they just watch the numbers rise and fall.
For those who are seasoned traders, the know that the real game is how much btc you can amass.
Cause in the end, that is still the only one that can reasonably be converted to cold hard cash.
So, you could just get straight to the point and buy btc and hodl it.
You are definitely going to come out on top.
Or you can try to play the trading game and get risky.

I think each trader has different strategies when it comes to this kind of situation. Some investors add more capital before fork to take advantage of it. Some would sell all their alt or half of their alts to buy chunks of bitcoin or ethereum before the fork and sell back after. |

One thing I've learned about Cryptocurrency and Investing is not putting your eggs on one basket. I think it is not wise to sell Altcoins then buy Bitcoin only. If you are telling us to sell some of our Altcoins and buy Bitcoins, I think it is just okay. Diversify your funds and that will be a win-win on your side because some coins will probably drop or rise up. The best decision would be having multiple good coins on your hand. |

Well I think it is not necessary to move to bitcoin, many altcoins are growing and I think they keep now the best time, for example Ethereum I think it is more profitable to keep much now than bitcoin

At this moment, I would better buy altcoins comapared to bitcoin. The fact that most of the altcoins are down like more than 50%, it already gives us a chance to take advantage on the possible big run, of course it's gonna happen but I'm thinking we should be smarter to wait, rather than starting to react with a little price movement now. |

in my opinion it is better to buy some altcoins and keep them in the sense of not selling them, although Bitcoin is a good option, but this is not a reasonable solution

Well, I personally still confused a bout the fork that is informed happening this day. And about that listing, I have no idea. But now, I can see the ways for me to face this market. I will sell some of my altcoins that have better price to turn to the Bitcoin. But, some are still hodl.
