I believe there isn't any currency already created at this moment that will reach closer to Bitcoin. Only on a really long term Bitcoin will be surpassed, when a new more advanced technology comes and bring something really original and not clones of Bitcoin like currently AltCoins we see for now.

The original can't be replaced by its clones...

I do not know why this can be difficult to understand some people want bitcoin to be surpassed by coins that bring nothing new, some users want bitcoin cash to become the new bitcoin but who is going to take them seriously when bitcoin cash is only a few months old and the bitcoin project has been around for almost a decade, they want all the benefits of being bitcoin without the struggle needed to reach that spot.

Difficult to say. The next Bitcoin might appear only in a few years. The best cryptos with the great potential are DASH, Litecoin and ETH.

For me bitcoinCash is the next to bitcoin. Becuase the price of bitcoincash now is arroun $2800+ That is so huge value for bitcoinCash. So i think thats the best coin next tOK bitcoin. More power for that big potential coins.

I'd say the next coin to bitcoin is Ethereum.  Ethereum has manage to retain it's position as the second highest coin over the years and if there is any tragic fall in the price of bitcoin in the market, I'm very well sure Ethereum is best coin to replace bitcoin.

There will be no other bitcoin, we should know this first. If we're looking for good coins, there are many of them, for instance ethereum, waves, neo, omg, iota and some others.

ETH is better coin yes, there are some bright changes for it to become next best currency but for now, things are changing a little bit. Although crypto currencies are different than normal businesses but still we can predict some results based on some test data. This data comes from the recent progress of ETH and results can be obtained that may be ETH will drop to zero soon.

There are some good coins to pick up in altcoins, the next big thing step in bitcoin is ethereum no other than, if you remember last year ethereum almost overtake bitcoin price in the crypto market so maybe it will happen again in ethereum. So, i choose now ethereum for the next big thing who follow the bitcoin it has also have a smart contrast that easy to have a transaction.
Beside from ethereum, waves, iota and ripple i think these coins are both have a big potential to grown someday i now i have these coins i my wallet for investing in long term purposes.

Based on my observation, I believe that either Ethereum or Litecoin could possibly be the next bitcoin. I chose the two because of their rising popularity which could possibly dominate bitcoin in the future. Also, the fact that they are being used for most of the campaigns makes more easier to assume that they indeed has the capability of overthrowing bitcoin as the number one crypto.

The next coin after bitcoin according to me would be Ethereum. After bitcoin, it is the most promisable investment at present. Since its origin in 2016, the digital currency has grown by over 1,100%. And its growth has been accelerating ever since.

None of the existing ones. If there was a real "next bitcoin", im pretty sure we would already know and we would have the smart people noticing about it and buying it big time. But there is no such thing, only experiments that simply don't cut it.

If you factor in the pros and cons, Bitcoin remains the best project out there. For a coin to take Bitcoin's spot, you would need a complete, total new iteration of technology, and I predict this would take decades, if not 100+ years.

I agree. Bitcoin holds the vantage point or the top of the hill so to speak distinction against any other cryptocurrency around. I mean, some may have compared it to Eth, Waves, Ripple, Dash, and so many more; however, as you can see, the price and value of those tokens in comparison with bitcoin is so far apart that it can't really be considered as a "second or next bitcoin" per se. I think that if one coin would be really embraced and supported by so many people like bitcoin has experienced all through the years, then there can be something that could equal or more be of value than bitcoin, but right now, I don't see and consider any of them.

Almost some of the coins are in the top 5 to top 2 when they have the highest volume but if the coins is already stable there are another coin again will going to overtake in top 2 that was the market pattern of the alts that has potential but in my own ethereum is always the sister of btc where is always in top 3 or top 2. That's my opinion about what I observed. As far as I know ethereum is always the partner of bitcoin ever since when it comes about transactions and all tradings.

I think the biggest defining factor for the next Bitcoin is "transaction fees". It will even surpass Bitcoin as a real currency wherein people would use it to buy stuff. Bitcoin itself would be hard to be used a real currency because of its high transaction fees. During its early stage, Yes it is being used like that But right now its more of a investment rather than a currency.

Well it is your observation but according to my observation no coin can beat bitcoin right now. If we take a look of bitcoin performance we will know that fast bitcoin has grown now and no currency has that much good history. At very start bitcoin price was not high and at that time many people tried to replace bitcoin but it is not possible right now for its big demand and increasing numbers of investors.

At this stage, top 10 alternative currencies have proved better investment tool. If you see that bitcoin-cash has roared from 300 dollars to the 2000 USD within month or so. Considering bitcoin-cash current price of ~2000 DOllars is after the correction, you could consider that there will be price raise again.
Same thing is happening with the etherium as well. It is touching 1000 dollars mark. Ripple is something i dont trust but has shown great performance in recent time. Cardano is good so as golem.

As of now there's a lot of crytocoin are popping up and those coin are quite huge but when the time I heared what coin is next up to bitcoin, the coin that always came up to my mind is ethereum( Eth). Just like bitcoin ETH has a large volume compared to other cryptocurrency excluding bitcoin. ETH aslo is now having a pump on its price that is why I think it'll become near on its bitcoin price.
