The best way to do is to let your love ones or a trusted person know your private information to access your account so that if you will died they can still access your account to cash out the money and add on for the expenses of your family's daily consumption or you will continue on what he/she been started to continue financial aspects as the way of income.

You're right bro, the private credentials of the person who died should give to the trusted person in order the bitcoin will still be part of the circulation in the network because if the bitcoin can't be accessible it will stucked forever in the network which will never be used as a part of the circulation of the bitcoin. Hoping that all of us here in the bitcoin community will give their credentials to the trusted person so that if the users will died it can still be accessible and part of the network in the bitcoin.

What will happen??

No one will have the BTC address. Hence will them isolated?

In FIAT, people can handover money to someone.. So, i predict BTC will be disappeared gradually.

BTC is an online currency, if the person dies no one will make use of it unless he/she shares he's or her informations on BTC then that is when he can have a successor of his or her BTC wallet. It is just like having a physical property were you decide where or what will you do on your properties when you die, but just like any other properties as well it can be stolen from you from people who knows your secret files or in BTC, your BTC wallet account infromations. Hope this helps!

It's better to take insurances. Having a good security of our credentials is definitely good but we should also take a step in making those accessible for the one we trusted in life. Simple writing on a piece of paper and keeping it somewhere safe is okay. If ever we die at some point while holding bitcoin, we can entrust those to our relatives so that they will take benefit of that amount and will continue to help them even if we are not here.

That is a very good question, unexpected death of a bitcoin user. Then, you have to be ready and I suggest to store some things in case of these scenes. One thing is a notes of those accounts. Aside from the materials you use for your transaction you have to jot down the things to get it from, even a step by step if none of any person you want to live those know how to. The accounts can never be opened by anyone and no one of the people behind the system know about you and what just happened to you to do an action. Therefore your bitcoin will still be in case.

if a person dies with BTC, without leaving behind the details of his wallet to his beneficiary, then his BTC is gone forever. it is advisable to include your details in your will for your beneficiary

My next of kin is my younger brother and he share all the information to everything that concern me. Infact he knew about my bitcoin account and I trust him very well. If anytime am no more he can continue with account and make use of whatever I have. He also share his own information with me too.
My son told me his password and all information of his account in bitcoin. No matter what happen  I know what to do. And  my personal account I told him too. Me and my son we have secret each other were bestfriend.

if no one has access to the wallet, BTC can be no loss forever. Make sure your family gets to your BTC. Exchange will give you more access if you have a death certificate and some verification. They operate like banks. But you have a wallet and no one has your passphrase and there is no way to get it.

If a person dies without anyone knowing his/her BTC address and other security passwords then I guess, it'll just be there and probably will belong to those missing BTC values. In my opinion BTC won't disappear gradually because of someone dying and having unclaimed BTCs because there are still other people who holds their BTCs and are able to access it by their family even if they die  Grin

If ever bitcoin owner dies and no one in the family knows his/her bitcoin details,it will be worthless because his/her family can never use it. So much better, if you will input, let say in a safe file, all your private keys or details needed to access your account so that your efforts and money invested will surely benefits your loved ones.

Cheesy good quection..  Wink  so if that person has a wife or children he can give passwords and 2-factor authentication and emails and all. so if that person will die before that yeah, unfortunately, no get those BTC out of that wallet. Smiley
[may be if someone can make a project to store all the personal details with highest secure it will be more useful too]

Hi there rddsd7! The same happen when a bank customer with millions in his account died and no one from his family or relative knows the account. The bank would send a notice to the account holders address and when no ones gain interest, the bank would then close the account and possibly take over the cash deposit. Thus, in bitcoin; when the wallet address holder dies, there is a possibility that the wallet company could take over the bitcoins. As a lesson, always tell someone, like your family about the bitcoin wallets and how to cash out those coins when time comes.  Wink

But in the case that no other person know the key of his/her wallet except himself/herself, then i think that BTC will be keep on that wallet forever. How many of us here who shared their private/public key to their family member?

If the the owner of btc will die the btc on his/her wallet will be idle.
on my opinion it's better that there are somebody knows your private key for your wallet so that it could be useful if you will die.
Your wife or a trusted member of the family will do.
