There is no such exact amount advisable. The amount will only depend on you alone. It is you who will decide on how much you are wiling to give or lose since crypto is very volatile. The thing here is you should not expect too much here since it is only you to blame and no one else. Just don' t go beyond the amount that you cannot afford to lose when thing here gets bad.

It depends on you. Only you can know how much afford you will can bring. For me, it will perfect to start with a small budget. We don’t know what will come to us. If you are not experienced you will not also know what is the future of this amount.

If you can take the risk of big amount you can through a big budget for big reward. All altcoins don’t  have a good future so it depends on your mind fully. If your luck shines you can get a big success with your investment but if you doesn’t you can lose your huge amount of money. Like almost everyone above stated you should start the amount of money that will not affect your life if you lose it.

Only with what you can afford to lose. Don't go taking out loans and borrowing friend's/family's money.

Bitcoin, at the moment has a low risk potential but nobody knows the future
yes own money that you take the risk you are able to take some looses of it if this may happen we dont know if what will may happen next , you are not abe to be sure if you can get profit also here so better to take the risk if this may possible to  be happen.

there's none. Starts with amount with a fund that's you can risk. If you trade with a number that's essential like your saving fund, it's will make you feel horrible.

You should spend a bit of your money that you can lose when trading. do not spend all money for trading, it's not a good idea. You can deivide into 2 part, one for trading ( about 30% of your fund), another is for hold altcoin or bitcoin.

How much do i need to start trading altcoins. I would like to know what would be the ideal number.

Thanks!

Are you a newbie who is never trading altcoins? If it's true, i advise you should study trading before and try trading with amount of capital $50-$100.
For newbie who just start to trading is always lost their money so the best you should not invest too much money. After you have enough knowledge and experience trading you can increase your investing capital 1-2 BTC or above but i think you just should invest 50% your saving in altcoins because investing cryptocurrency market is always latent high risky.

In my opinion, it is not necessary to have huge funds for a good start. Invest in some well-prospering crypto, I would recommend Waves, for example, and develop it. It's best now to keep the coins, and the profits will come.

ONLY SPEND WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO LOSE. There is not magic number. You can start with $100 or $10,000. Just start and keep learning

Seriously, you can start with whatever you can loose, if you are new to trading.
If you are starting trading with any amount of money, you better divide such amount of money into 3 or 4.

You can invest in the followings: eth, waves, ltc, iota and many more good altcoins out there .

If you are thinking of ICO, I will recommend eChat token (ECHT) for you.

There is no fix amount that one can actually invest into cryptocurrencies but my advice is don't invest everything as the price may rise or fall at any point in time, invest an amount you can afford to loose without any problem.
And again in other to gain much from cryptocurrencies you need to invest tangible amount of money in other to maximize enough profit when the price rise.

It's depend how you can handle the risk. My suggest is don't invest more money if you cannot ready to loose it. Start with small amount, maybe with $50-$150. Crypto is a high risk place for someone who didn't well prepared.

Theres no required amount you to invest before you can start trading, but i suggest invest in small amount like $100 then try to gain profits 100% in a month so if you can do that you can try big amounts.

You can start with any amount you have. The beauty of cryptocurrency is that any cryptocurrency are divisible to a fraction of figures. That in itself enable you to trade with whatever capital you  can afford top trade with. The important thing however is you trade and master your game!

I think you should start with minimum 0.1 bitcoin to avoid high transfer fee. Because of bitcoin too expensive now so 0.1 equal to 1k6$ so that amount is not too small with new investors but not too high.  Cheesy

The main rule when investing in Crypto is to invest what you can afford to lose.
We cannot share any numbers as 1000$ for a poor guy is not the same as 1000$ for a millionaire. Smiley

So, if you have some money, start with 2-3 altcoins with strong projects behind. (it's up to you to decide on which. Waves, IOTA, NEO, Siacoin etc)
Still, if you have no money to invest, you can try with Airdrops and/or Bounty programs. Also, be aware that a lot of Airdrops are scams.

Cheers.

I agree. The amount that you can afford to lose for each person is different and you can not call any specific figure that suits you. In addition, you can not put all money in one basket.

I could not exactly advise any exact amount. Always invest on your extra money, never use the budget intended for your daily needs. Use a certain amount of money that you can afford to lose. In this investment, nothing is 100% sure profit. Risk only the money that you don't need.

at least you must have 0.01 btc for the trades of the results also have been pretty diharga segitu if you buy coins from small price and resale at high price. profit you can get 2x, 3x, 5x etc. if you are looking for smart coin and read the coin charts you are sure success in the world of trades.

but I suggest make 2 wallet. 1 made to be saved and 1 again for traded capital back.
if someday you get cutloss a lot in terms of trad you still have savings for personal use.

There is something that is more important than capital in trading and that is discipline, I don't know your trading background but don't ever invest what you can't afford to lose and if you are going to trading proper always use stop-loss
