As any investment business they are risks involved, so the best amount  to start with is the one that don't make you nervous and you are comfortable with losing it if things go bad. If you risk money that is important to you, it's very easy to make mistake when market correction arises. So be comfortable with the numbers and do not make scary decisions.

Only invest what you are willing to lose. Last year I started trading with a capital of only 100 dollars. So I think 100 dollars is good amount of money to start trading.

I started with 1k, an amount i was prepared to lose completely, this is an high risk environment so just pick something that wouldn't hurt you too much.

How much do i need to start trading altcoins. I would like to know what would be the ideal number.

Thanks!
I think the perfect number for a normal trade would be 1K if you want something more then your $ 5-10K. Next is the big players are.

$300-$500 should be a good start for you to get the feel of it. As you learn you can gradually increase your investment size so long as you don't recklessly base your decisions on extreme emotions.

What you need to think about is how much you can afford to lose!

Digital crypto-currency is a risky investment and the worst thing to do!

Learn to lose money first, can better make money!

an ideal number is a number where it's fine losing that's money. I mean just use ur pocket change. Someone start with 200$ for doing an airdrop, someone else doing with their personal cash 100$ and so on.

I think you can start with a small amount, I think you will get a small profit too, by investing in your trade will be easy to get, and you can be patient with trading so you will get a good profit.

I think you can start right away with an amount that you feel comfortable with and do not invest what you can't afford to lose. I think you can try to learn technical analysis online and try to find a good entry price for your investment.

The ideal amount for investing is the money that you are not afraid to lose or lose because the chance of doing stupidity when the market falls very low because you easily parted with this money  Wink

I think giving you an ideal number to start trading may not be right. You know what you want and the target you are aiming when buying altcoin. Hence, your start up amount should be directly proportional to the  level of profit you intend making. But I will rather advise that you start with what you can afford.

You can try to enter a market for free by participating in some bounties, that will give you alts for you to begin trading with them then.

I think in order to start trading you need at least $ 1000 to get a good profit.  If you invest for a long term, then the profit will be greater.

It all depends on your capabilities and your experience as trader. Even with small start sum you can get large profit if you are a bit lucky.

I would recommend something like 500 USD. That should be enough to allow you to invest in more than one coin or ICO and its better to distribute your investment, instead of just investing in one.

It all depends on your ability to trade and invest. If you have little experience, then you must start with a small amount, which is not terrible to lose.

Depending on what you want and what you can achieve, the answer to this question changes tremendously. If you belive that you will be making profits in no time and you have a reason to believe that way, go all in.

But usually, for most people, I suggest what most people said, only invest with the money you can afford to lose.

I think starting from a small budget, so the small amount you spend will jump up again. and do not put all the capital in one place when investing, because we do not know what will happen.

you can not invest at all. as a beginner, you can try to participate in bounty programs and airdrops. this will ensure you advance knowledge in the field of crypto currency and will allow you to get a small profit.
