Its possible in Crypto but also not. Crypto is unpredictable, lets suppose even if you invest in strong alt coin you cant control BTC to dump and pump. $10k can and can not guarantee you $1 million in a year. You might as well earn more than this or lose all.

Remember in this world of cryptocurrency where people are doing money by taking advantage of price votality of coins, everything is possible both having a profit of millions and lossing millions of investment. A goid coin from a good ico together with actives devs can be a key for a bright future just by buying it with cents and hidl until reach hubdreds or thousand of dollar value yet not every crypto investor end with positive result and most of thise who tend to lose are those people who decide to abort long term hodling in midst of dumps.

If one were to buy and hold solid  avaerge coins (not a coin that kicks out and gets 10000% gain), but rather a nice steady gain like eth, Ltc etc (top 20) and starts with 10k, is it possible to reach a million without trading and buying/selling at highs and lows? If so, how long would you predict it would take? Or are most coins not going to last long term, so every 6 months would I have to rebalance with newer coins?

It is possible yes, but you would have to hit a very sweet deal on a ICO that eventually goes x100. This is very exceptional, but it has happened before. It should take a couple of years at least. We are talking about assuming huge risks.

I am not sure that You can make million with investing on the coins on top 20 now. They have already made 100 or 1000 times growth. If You need to make a million by 10k You need to research good alts in the bottom , pick up the Best and invest on them.

Well to be honest, anything is possible in Crypto world. The catch like others have mentioned is to invest in a coin in the early stages. if you are already investing in a stable coin then the chances of getting good returns in less because the coin has already performed to its max. I would rather pick some investments and spread my funds a bit and see my investment grow with time.

Time in Crypto world is very important and this is one thing that I keep telling everyone.

Everything is possible in our world but I think that this will take several decades.

1.Time
2.Pull of money
3.Good Altcoins and ICO's

I think, it is very much possible depending on the flow of crypto users. We can never say how long it would take but definitely it would reach whatever amount it is that you want. Of course the quality of the coin you are holding affects the time frame greatly so I guess risking in some coins which are very volatile can be put in consideration. But, it is possible to reach the amount that you want if you hold your coins and wait till it gives you the target amount that you want.

Nothing is impossible in cryptocurrency space,
2018 is the year crypto, it takes time of course,
but you should be careful before you invest, you have  to choose very carefull which coins that want to invest , it will give you a great profit or great loss.

In order  to get million dollars first need to invest money in various potential coins and need to patient enough to get back the invested money,  all of a sudden can't get the million dollars wait for the right time when the price goes up sell to get profit.
