Is a million dollars possible?

If one were to buy and hold solid  avaerge coins (not a coin that kicks out and gets 10000% gain), but rather a nice steady gain like eth, Ltc etc (top 20) and starts with 10k, is it possible to reach a million without trading and buying/selling at highs and lows? If so, how long would you predict it would take? Or are most coins not going to last long term, so every 6 months would I have to rebalance with newer coins?

It is possible, but very hard to achieve.

Bitcoin needed one year to growth from 400 dollars to 19 000 dollars
Ethereum needed not all year to growth from 18 dollars to 1300 dollars

So the conclusion is:

If you find new coin which achive huge growth like this two coins you will be milioner in one year with invest 10k.

It's possible that only with the capital to hold the coins you buy can benefit up to 10000%, but you need to be patient because it will take a very long time. So my suggestion is better you trade and move from the coins that Roughly no potential, switch to coins that have a good future.

I think that million dollars is really possible if you also had enough capital to invest in crypto currency as well... as for example you can start investing right now in all of those under valued crypto currencies out there in the crypto market which has a greater chance in surviving in the crypto world and increase its market value in a short span of time.

If you get in bitcoin or ethereum now with 10k dollar, it is likely that you will make 10x profit in 2019.
For most altcoins, they will die sooner or later, but you can make more money if you are lucky enough.

Why should not it be possible to make such profits? But it will depend on how much you invest. And it will depend on which ICO's and in which coins and tokens you invest. And there will not be these fast-paced earnings gains in 2018 or any of these hysterical buys like in 2017.

You could make a million if you are up for it. it does take a lot of determination and maturity. talking of maturity, I do think some people  backed out of crypto because of this massive correction we are in right now and many folks are seriously down.

In order to make the millions, you have to study and invest wisely while standing your ground when the market dips. Patience is the keyword in this industry

yes sure. thats exactly im doing. i have around $20000 worth holdings in solid coins( 40% ) and few undervalued coins(60%) . so im expecting around 20X to 50X return in 2019. so 50X will make me a millionaire. so always buy good alts and hold for few years .

That may be true, but the skeptic in me is inclined to believe that 10x rewards are possible with smart investment - which is incredibly high on the face of it, but you should be really happy with 5x rewards.

It's very possible when you HODL and look out for coins that are currently good projects but in cents or a few dollars like. Chances of 5000% plus returns are very possible esp during this time of period when the market is still in the deep. imagine if u invest just 2K, you will become a millioniare once it price gets from lets say 1 usd to 500 usd or 0.1 usd to 50 usd... coins like EOS, Binance coin exhibited such characters

A million dollars is possible depending on the amount you're starting out investing with.  I know those that have been buying during this bearish market will see huge profits later on this year.  Just keep buying and hodling until the market recovers.

Yes, in the world of virtual currencies everything is possible. I have friend he earned 4million dollars in just 2 months with just little invesment. He earned a lot just joining airdrop,bounty and learn trading. He told me that the key to success be patient and do your own research.

If you start with 10K, as you say, it means making an x100. It was possible a few months ago with great luck. Today, it seems almost impossible... Unless you're doing day trading with a leveraged sale, but investing in ltc or eth and hoping to do x100 is too late.

There are coins that are short-lived and there are also coins that will obviously make it more than ten years. Ethereum and Litecoin are among the two coins that will live it up for a long time. Of course we have Bitcoin as the number one in the ranks.

If you will start with just 10K I am not sure whether you will reach a million without actively trading. It is after all very hard to transform an ant into a dinosaur. But if you start with 10K and then every now and then, if you have some surplus, you add some to it, perhaps your million will not take that long to arrive.

It's always possible to pick the right coin and gain astronomical sums but no one knows for sure which coin that will be. With a basket your returns will be lower, but your wealth will correlate more with the general market. Anything is possible. Rather than setting a target of a million bucks, be more realistic. As the market matures, the crazy returns of the past will be less and less, though still significant. Possibly, one of the coins in the basket can make you a millionaire if you keep it for years.

I'd like to say if you find a coin that has high potential in results with the popularity and newly found cryptocurrency it really will not surprise me to achieve a very high price. and maybe to become a millionaire with only a few hundred dollars if you find a good coin.
