I don't know why, but it still gets on a fork.

Can someone verify that the explorer is on the main fork? I would be able to "-connect=<ip>" and get that chain.

EDIT: well.. the explorer is not accepting direct incoming connections, so I used one of the posted peers.. lets hope i get the right one this time.

Please tell me what peer is on the right chain. I think i am on a fork too...

I got it synced with connect=63.246.129.56:18216,  I dont know who is it but.. it shows same as explorer

Pool will be up shortly Smiley

Minar.cc pools are not running anymore, the domain was registered by someone else and I don't have any relationship with the new owner.

That is the IP for the block viewer, and will be a perminant node

Really? what a coincidence.. i choose it randomly, after trying connect=starcoin.info with no luck.

The pool is having some weird issues left by all the blocks found on the fork, im cleaning it up.

EDIT: The pool is only generating ORPHANS on same fork that block explorer is...  I dont know whats wrong

Minar.cc pools are not running anymore, the domain was registered by someone else and I don't have any relationship with the new owner.

Are you solomining?

Do you get any orphans?

I've been solo mining the last few days.  I think I did hit an orphan or two, but for the most part everything seems to be working fine.  Even saw some PoS activity going on without grinding everything to a halt.

I have also been solo mining the past few days without any problems.  Last problem I had were back on 9/21... I had 9 "not accepted" blocks in a row.

Then I don't know why the pool always gets orphans, I will restart the pool when I finish migrating the servers to the new hosting.
I will let you all know when that happens.

I mined 7-8 blocks yesterday, with one orphan and a few rejects.

Would it help if we set a standard for expiry and scantime ?

scan-time effects rejects, not orphans. orphans are usually caused by network and node latency.

I've been mining since yesterday with the new client. I never had the old one installed. Mined 2300 coins, all of which matured and showed up as mined. Within the last hour over half went orphan. All blocks mined from midnight to now went orphan. The ones before that are still fine. Did it fork again?

I don't think this time it's auto-forked. Smells like some smart-asses decided to 51% the coin.

Yeah, that's nice.  Similar thing happened to me.  2700 coins worth, all confirmed solo mined.  Transferred those coins to my storage wallet, also confirmed.  Now, all those coins are orphaned.  Looks like I need to find another coin to support.  I've been trying to hang in there but this is just a waste of hashing power.
