Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I know someone trying to set up the largest starcoin pool, but the source won't compile. Dev needs to be active in this thread. It's back on cryptsy, fix these issues quick and we can have a network once more.

I got it to compile just fine.
Great, whould you mind to share it ?

I don't get it, the coin was released July 19, 2013 and now it's back from the dead? Cryptsy, coinwarz, most valuable coin to mine? And some people have been mining this all the time?!?  Shocked

When the coin wasnt listed on an exchange, the difficulty fell down to allmost 0. People who kept mining Could be very rich now.  Unfortunately the difficulty had increased since Cryptsy listed it again.

HOLLA! I never lost faith in this coin  Grin

Haven't ever tried just copying over the block chain before, usually just copy the whole folder but here you go. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zqpwezd7viyp1rj/STR%20Blockchain.rar

I think that's all you need

Copy those files to the Starcoin folder with your wallet
Delete any "log" files in the database folder
and run starcoind with -rescan

lemme know if it works

I'm getting 0 connections to the Starcoin network.  I had one connection for a second, but that didn't last long...

I take that back... I have one again.

STR.CripToe.Com is up, and downloading the blockchain.

You can make an account and set the pool as a primary in your configs, and when the blockchain finishes, stratum will kick on.

Disclaimer- I usually don't announce a pool without testing, but I guess we'll see what happens when it goes live.

Like I mentioned, the best way will be to add the pool as your primary pool in your config, with a secondary pool for something listed as well.  When the blockchain finishes on the pool, the stratum service will automatically kick in, and your miner will switch over in a little under a minute.

You can also watch the block stat on the dashboard.  When the number gets close to the 400 and something thousand mark, we're close.  My luck will be that I'll be asleep when this happens... which makes me a bit nervous, but I'll leave you with this:

I try my best to make sure things work, but each coin is different.  There are a few different settings that could be different with each coin, and I usually like to have those figured out and tested with a group of friends before I announce a pool.

Mine at your own risk if this goes live past 9-10pm PST(when I go to sleep).
