Where you usually find your configs;

search for 'appdata' and then 'roaming', or just 'roaming'. It's in your C://user probably.

For anyone running the daemon, do you have issues with CPU usage? I'm seeing it bounce between 15 and 95%, I'm wondering if it's mining POS. I have gen=0 in the conf file though.

Any input? Other POS coins don't do this.

Ok so this is weird.. it appears it can't find a checkpoint or do a full resync because it can't connect to an IRC server. I can't paste the debug log here because it's on another computer.. but, anyone else notice this?

Guessing I need to add a billion addnodes in.

Your client may have forked. The *coin code seems to get stuck in a loop when this happens, repeatedly asking peers for the exact same set of blocks, as if they'll magically change somehow. (The definition of insanity?). If you are unable to sync properly you may need to delete the blockchain (but not your wallet!) and restart from scratch.

gen=0 only disables PoW; to disable PoS you need to set reservebalance=xxx in your config, where xxx is a number higher than your actual balance.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I ended up blocking POS, and that actually fixed everything oddly enough.

Why do you need dev? If you forked it, than simply create new thread, post here link to new thread and thats it. In new thread link all new wallets and sync nodes. Contact Cryptsy to change the wallet to new one and Star Coin can live forever. It is so cheap now, that I am buying it like crazy, so please do the new thread and make yourself new Dev for Starcoin, I am voting for you.
