When suicidal thoughts drives it is dangerous to stop. It could be because of the unsatisfied living. Unsatisfied of self satisfactory. Unsatisfied wants for anything. Unsatisfied for others because others make us feel that kind of emotion. It could be prevented by prayer I think and Love without limit.

People are under the pressure from paying bills, raising kids, relationships,.... So if they can't take it anymore, commit suicide is the only way to release them, i think so.

So far in our area as of today, severe depression had been the biggest culprit of all these suicidal thoughts. Sometimes they also blame the social media for the spread of these suicidal attempts. So I agree to almost every post recommending depression, just to add a bit in poor countries, economy (financial difficulties) has also been a factor.

I think problems and hardships are some causes of suicidal thoughts. Having weak faith and nobody to share all the burdens in life would just make things hard and may cause a deeper level of depression that might lead to suicidal thoughts. These kind of people need encouragement and guidance. Suicide is a serious case and we must do something about it.

Of course it is not acceptable. It is true they commit scuicide because they can no longer bear the pain or the shame but i think in Japan it is a natural thing for a person to commit scuicide or kill them selves. Back in the time of war when soldiers lose in a battle, they choose to kill their own selves because for the, it is shame to lose in a battle. That's basically it. People get depressed and they're not emotionally stable to handle depression plus no support from friends and family so they lose the will to live and find an easy way out. The feeling of being alone adds a whole deal to a person having depression. Its a serious matter.

We have to respect the fact about how unfair this world is and how people who have suicidal tendencies see it. The thing is they are suicidal for a reason of course, otherwise they are just mentally ill. Still, it is alarming that one would choose death rather than living because of the issues that people encounter.

This is a tricky question as thoughts of suicide come to mind because of variety of reasons. It does not necessarily mean someone will follow through. Usually suicides happen because of a momentary feeling of a wall. It seems like you are stuck in a prison cell in a solitary confinement! Some people achieve peace and self awareness, but some people lose all hope! You cant convince a person to get out of the feeling, the person has to do it himself/herself. The only thing that you can do is to support the person and believe and hope!

Perhaps in their minds by ending the lives of all their problems over, they do not know there is a life more eternal than this. they should share stories to their nearest person, or to a psychiatrist, maybe that will help.

For me I think because of depression of broken family that can cause of suicidal attempt.  And another one is broken hearted.

The main cause is depression. They can't handle the situation and problems that they are facing. They over think and that's why suicidal thoughts happens.

Suicidal thoughts are caused by depression. Depression is a mental disorder where the feeling of emptiness, worthlessness and sadness consumes you. It feeds on negativity and makes you do unnecessary actions and even dangerous ones. Depression can be present in different situations and disorders so be wary of it. For me,  i think it is "negativity". When we are at the state of challenging situation but we see this as a discouragement. Since then our conscious play us.  Lots of what ifs.  And that causes as to give up easily. Then we let our self be down.  That we think we have no hope in our life.  We think that giving up is the best way to escape the problem.  Then to end the problems, the big mistake committed and suicide.
