246 million are mined... now every year another 1 million coins can be mined. so yes, the large part has been mined. But there is no max limit of coins...

Quark is more fair than litecoin, peercoin, namecoin and more coins, just look at the distribution: http://www.quarkcoin.cc/2013/12/10/mythbuster-quark-distribution/And to answer your question. No, not all quarks have been mined.

Yes, basically. It took 6 months to mine as many qrks (250 million) as it will take 250 years to mine the same amount again from now on. (1 million per year) No other coin has this distribution of mining, if it is bad or good, only future adoption will tell.

And If i'm correct, there will always be quarks to mine, it won't drop to 0, like other btc/alt coins.

Lol, no. It's just so annoying that they didn't bought anything yet. The whole world is waiting on those yellow fuckers and they keep disappointing us. I'm very angry atm. And no, i didn't put more in it than i can afford Why exactly would we be 'waiting' for them, and how can *they* disappoint you? Maybe you anticipated it, or maybe you hoped it. Thats all. Don't think short-term with cryptocurrencies, that'll just get you disappointed all the time. I bought QRK for the long run, not just to get a quick profit in a few days.

My quarks raised more than 700 times since I bought them. Haven't sold even one yet. Still very important market signals have to happen this year.

It's pretty hard not to think short term when we are talking about something created in the last 6 months that has risen 700fold in the last month and has some very major news/events in the next week!

Just because something is hard doesn't mean you shouldn't attempt it. It's exactly that mentality that made people spend bitcoins for $1, then $10...always thinking the growth would soon end. If you are just daytrading it's fine to just think short-term. But I doubt daytraders would get upset about other people not 'giving' them profit - they know it's a dog-eat-dog world.

I encourage anyone that feels they need to dump out after the BTC38 listing to do so - all these things tend to even out - Quark has a core of investors , we welcome speculation but that's not what makes Quark great .

Excellent point Digitalindustry! Anyone who wants to sell at any point - go right ahead. I have every confidence that there will be someone there more than happy to buy them - and then some! Plenty of BTC has exchanged owners during its rise - Quark will be the same. In the future, there will be people regretting selling at 10 cents, others at $1, who knows. IMHO, the majority of good alt coins will be going up (a lot) in the months and years ahead. Personally, I'm betting big on Quark, eMunie, Peercoin and Devcoin.

I regret missing out on that one - the whole fiasco with UNOCS and Phoenixcoin is what soured me on that one. Funny how it was Worldcoin that rose from the ashes

I sold all my ixcoins yesterday, and converted them to devcoins. So from a worthless bitcoin clone with premine (ixcoin) , to an ethical currency (devcoin) that may not have a commercial marketing behind it, but nonetheless a grassroots marketing like wikipedia has, creating knowledge and opensource in the process. Devcoin and Namecoin are mergemined coins who really make sense. Why ixcoin is mergemined makes no sense to me. I think devcoin will have success, because it doesn't care about ups and downs of the market, it has an "intrinsic value" much like namecoins have (bitdomain space)... It's a pity that quark has no additional value like those coins... why isn't quark used as a supercomputer for the large hadron collider program to understand the behaviour of the quark particles? lol, jk back to qrk.
