I just wanted to know if anyone has theories about the impact of having bitcoin futures. Although there seems to be not  many people shorting hehe

You can see that bitcoin prices are recovering extremely strongly over the past few days. Markets of countries around the world are increasingly open for bitcoin. There are a lot of countries that agree and let the traffic circulate legally. So I think the bitcoin price will quickly recover to the $ 20000 mark and may reach the $ 10,000 mark by the end of this year.

The development of bitcoin greatly affects the entire cryptocurrency market because most other altcoins are priced in bitcoin. The value of bitcoin is also a measure to reflect the interest of investors in this market. The main thing is that traditional futures are standing on a whole different level than Bitcoin futures right now. Eventually I do expect Bitcoin futures to hold more value in this market as their use cases increase in more directions than just the speculative aspect right now. It definitely shows that CBOE's first mover advantage is still giving them the lead over the much larger CME, but the gap isn't as big as it used to be. CME is slowly but surely catching up, which is a good thing since it indicates more demand for these tools than before. That being said, the volumes as a whole are still very poor, but it will take time to have it grow in the coming months and years. Institutional investors are still holding back....

There is no theory regarding with future of bitcoin. However, there is an assumption dealing with the price of bitcoin in the near future. The trend tends to be a tremendous reason why the price of bitcoin surge. The potential of losing its value will happen in the future due to the rules and regulation that may inflict to the demand of bitcoin. We don't know its future, we just anticipate what will happen and it is not a theory.
