hello,
thank you for the info.
Sadly this isnt profitable for me, i make minus. I get approx 200 HBN per day with my overclocked 7970 at 710Khash. It takes 0,365kw per hour (8,76 kwh per day @ 0,249€). for the HBN i get approx 0.02293100 BTC 0 2,06€ but my Powercosts are 2,18€. So i will search for something else.
Does anyone make Profit here? i mean the 7970 is the newest card atm (exept 7990 which is hard to get)

At your price per kw you will be very hard pressed to make money on any coin.

At your price per kw you will be very hard pressed to make money on any coin. Not to mention the 7970 is nowhere near as power efficient as the 7950. On the other hand, I usually only mine coins that I believe will be more profitable by holding them long term. I think the POS interest on this coin makes it a possible long term winner. Those who only mine to sell and buy Bitcoin are not helping the altcoin scene.

I had calculated the efficency from the official TDP Value on wikipedia and the max. Hashing values of the Litecoin wiki. The 7970 and the 7950 are identical efficent in theory. Why do you rate the difference as "nowhere near"? Any examples or experiences? (So far i tested 7970, 5970 and 6870)
I recognised that some manufatures are better than others. so i gett only 710khash out of the possible 800khash.

With your power costs, you need to get a cheap asci, like the AM BE. Then mine and dump a SHA256 coin. ZET is hot right now. But I would dump it and buy and hold HBN for the SUPER efficient stake. If you would like to take a gamble on an ASCI miner and help your fellow man out, see my sign.

When comes the fix for the broken stakesystem? I have some stack blocks with zero coins. After the fix, the coins come in my wallet? Or will it stay at zero?

I don't think you will have anything from these blocks

Please use my referral link to sign up - you will get a discount on trading fees while I will get a cut too

Ok i stoped today. It makes no sense in my case. I tried everything. The card has good Asic Quality (87%) but i cant go under 1.000V. I cant get better than 1,95 Mhash per Watt with my 7970 from Powercolor, which is not enough.
I will sell the 2 cards on ebay, and buy the coins directly. I already daytraded (or weekly) some coins in the past (1-2 BTC per coin, 2k€ atm). That works for me.
Unless i get free solar power i will not mine again. (Solar investment ROI from mining, maybe i will test it :-)
thanks for the Help.

Guys I know the staking is not perfect right now. But it does work.
You can solve it easy in 1 of 2 ways. I think method 1 is the best.
1) On one computer you solo mine, then when you get 50 coins ship them to another HBN wallet on another computer. It will stake. Or if you are using a pool just set the min payout to 50.
2) You can do it with 1 wallet. Just again wait till you have 50 coins then ship them to a new address from the same wallet. After 10 days it will stake. Problem is you will have to do this many times as the new minted coins will get in the way of the 50 block.
Its not perfect, but it works for now. Remember it is ONLY 10 days! You get 2% in 10 days for a super small amount of work.
I can tell you this will get fixed, but it needs to be fully tested before being rolled out.

Ehm, are stakes working now, or is it just me buying coins that are staking ^^ ?
No stake on my mined coins. Updated client has not been released yet as far as I know. It was scheduledbfor the 20th. Not sure if that is still a valid date or not. You just need a block of 50 coins or more to gen stake. If you are mining, simply wait for 50 coins and move them to another wallet, that is up all the time. It will get staked. Been working great for me. When you move them do you have to wait the 10 days again? What if you do a send to self, have you tried that? I figured I would just wait for the new client. In hindsight I should have been transferring them all as I went. Yes 10 days, plus stake diff comes into place. I can say 100% from one wallet to the next it works perfect. I have only just tested from self to self. Been 9 days. I assume it should work. I can confirm from the same wallet you can send coins from 1 address to another and it will stake if >=50

The 7950 costs about $210, draws 200w, and mines at about 660 Kh/s. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125414RThe 7970 costs about $280, draws 250w, and mines at maybe 700 kh/s if you are lucky. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131468I've built a few dozen mining systems, and have never liked the 7970 for mining. It creates a lot more heat, and in my experience isn't any faster than a 7950 for mining. Most of my friends that have 7970's paid around $400, and don't use them for mining anymore.

My new stake blocks from today has still zero coins. Think fix is not working. really sad... Not sure if this is necessary. But I was told to delete everything but wallet.dat and re-download the block chain. I am just getting to it myself this morning so I have nothing to say for sure yet.
