Don't panic men its normal so far, small percent of down wait for next 12 hrs or 1 day the price will bounce back into the old price.

the rise and fall in the bitcoin price is a natural thing and the possibility of causing. it there are many possibilities but I think it is because of the sudden high rise then now only slightly decreased. the belief in will go back up of bitcoin prices is in my opinion but people's opinions are different and as you say this is the right time if you want to buy it.

I think it was affected by this coming Christmas season in which the season of buying, giving and spending which are expensive activities therefore some bitcoin holder will sell their coin for fiat for their spending needs and i believed altcoins will on its way of dumping too because everybody needs paper money for the preparation of happy holidays.

It is a normal phenomenon for the price of bitcoin to come down. Its movement is a dynamic one and as such is expected to have a rise and a fall. It is to this effect that leads to buying and selling i.e before it takes a buy turn, you buy and before it takes a sell turn, you sell. But i still believe that the down movement of Btc will not alter its growth.

Yeah exactly, it's expected that something like this will happen because of the sudden rise, it's normal for the price to eventually go down. I'm surprised it gone down this late though I thought it will occur a little earlier when price was still around $18,000. Just don't panic sell with the current price, it's so low and it's not worth it, just hold and before you know it just like what @rodskee says price will eventually bounce back into its old price. I think right now is the perfect moment to focus on some altcoins, some altcoins are really skyrocketing right now so it's the perfect time to get some profit out of your altcoins investment.

When the Biggest Bitcoin exchange in the USA starts to trade BCash, it will have an affect on the BTC price. This is going to cause a lot of confusion, when people are going to transfer BTC to BCash and/or buying BCash instead of BTC, because they do not know the difference.

If you have two similar looking coins on an exchange and you do not know the difference, which one will you buy? Obviously some people will go for the cheaper coin, which is BCash. <Bargain Bin Coin>

All the BCash cheerleaders will go, "Oo la la, another fool fell for that trap"

Yes, Bitcoin price going fall in the last two days. it's a simple matter for every currency price would be ups and down. this is the life cycle of every life's circle. Sometimes price will go and sometimes price will be low. So it doesn't make any big sense. So that I have a strong belief that Bitcoin price will go up again very recently.

If you go through weekly chart of bitcoin, such ups and downs are expected. Every currency have ups and downs in its trading patterns. Bitcoini is a decentralised currency, its supply is restricted and its demand is ever-growing so there is more volatility in bitcoin. Bitcoin is rising constantly from last six month, it has reached a moderate expected by its investors now these investors are withdrawing their profits. But at the same time new investors are buying bitcoin. As a result bitcoin prices are moving up and down. Such movements are good for any currency.

It is expected to have a correction after that crazy surge up. This is just normal with bitcoin, and the best opportunity to buy more bitcoin while the price is still down. One day it will surge up again and you will be thankful you bought more of it.

I'm down about $600+ at the moment and I'd rather not sell at a loss, but I'm not expert enough at this yet to know if it's just a minor setback before another huge gain. Any ideas on the future coming days/week?

It is getting a bit frightening now. The prices have fallen by more than $3,000 per coin. And at the same time, the exchange rates of Bitcoin Cash has risen by close to 100% (versus BTC). And more worryingly, unlike the past situations South Korea is no longer dominating the Bitcoin Cash volumes.

i would just hold and dont panic. look at your gains from month to month.

When ever there's a down trend observed, it would bounce back to more than 150% from the current value. If you could validate the 1 year trend of BTC you may find that this down is normal and nothing to worry.

Hope this down trend would bounce back to $20,000 this New year.

IMO its because coinbase went live with BCH so everyone is selling BTC to buy BCH thats why the BCH is pumping now. Let BTC drop so I can load up on more 

I do not see the logic in this conclusion. Why is someone selling a highly liquid asset and buying another less liquid?
Coinbase have added BCH and all people going to sell their BTC and Buy BCH, why?

i would just hold and dont panic. look at your gains from month to month.

I hear you it's not good to panic, but just checked again and I'm now down about $900. Is it really expected to grow again in the near future to the 19k levels it was at Saturday? I'm seeing a lot of "don't panic" type posts here and I can't tell if everyone has more experience and knows better or if we're all just being hopeful.
