Did etherdelta give any information as far as time it would take to fix and restore their site?

Heard of this already, DNS server attacks are super powerful, kudos to Etherdelta who acted quickly to let the people know what happened.
The only thing they did was to make a tweet 2 hours after 250+ ethereum was already stolen. They could've disabled their website because even after they made the tweet, hackers are still transferring eth.

As long as you didn't use the site while it was compromised earlier today, I believe.

Oh thanks for the information. Luckily I've been busy with work and didn't get a chance to check my orders at etherdelta for past couple of days. When I tried to access the site just a little while ago, the site wasn't reachable. I am glad they disabled the access. Now I am wondering what will happen with my ether and tokens.

The Domain Name Server was attacked, it translates the etherdelta.com address into an IP address of a different server. You could say they should've fix the DNS, but any changes to DNS take time. And yes, maybe they only found out 2 hours late.

Thanks for the heads up mate I think for our safety just stay away with this exchange and wait for the statement that ED will provide regarding to this concerned as we still have some doubts with their security and its better to stay safe than sorry in terms of our investment.

I guess its time to say goodbye to etherdelta because this literally killed their service .. its a worst exchange anyways and a meaning that its not really decentralized

On the first place companies holding tons of money should invest at a higher rate than cybercriminals. Hope this works as a warning for other wallet services

Another thing they could've done was contact the host of the scam website so they could take it down, but ED didn't do that. Even the operators were surprised that ED didn't contact them, it was the users who did.

I read the news too and I am worried about my fund on that site. I hope the team of etherdelta can solve this problem so we don't have to worry again. if there is a way to move our tokens from etherdelta, then I think we should move for temporary to stay away or avoid the attacker to penetrate into our account.

Firefox specifically warned that I should not go ahead with etherdelta link I usually type and I was worried, So I decided not to log in. I think if people are observant they may actually be safe from this kind of attack! Let spread the word about this hack please!

I don't have money there. But I am still very upset. Because I have money on other sites. I think hackers may be one of the big issues of cryptocurrencies. Always keep your money safe! Wish whoever see this post were not affected by this.

How is this even possible? I thought the whole point of decentralized exchanges was that something like this couldn't happen.
