The best strategy for me personally is buying or investing tokens of the most interesting projects that can or already solve some problems that humanity faces every day. Such projects will really be appreciated and developed.

I think with current situation, you should trade short term for 10-15% profit. Market is very volatile currently.

My strategy in trading is not to use all my assets to buy coins. I only use 50% and the rest I use to buy back if the price of crypto decreased in price.

My crypto funds is diversified. Half of my portfolio is for position trading wherein I buy at support and sell at resistance, cut loss a few ticks below the support level. The other half is for long term investment which I will hold for 5-10 years and will continue to accumulate through buying every bottom, staking, and having a masternode (BTC, WAGE, GRFT, WAVES, etc.). I believe that maintaining your strategy until you achieve your goal is important in gaining profit in crypto market volatility.

by 2018 many ICOs have no success. it's different in the year 2017 ago. which are few ICO but mostly successful. if you are currently looking for investments in ICO, you should be careful. please read the whitepaper, see the investor, and the developer team, see the vision for the future. so you can choose to invest in a good ICO.

To avoid losing money, don't trade actively. Buy and hold for at least few months and don't read any news. And try to buy after price drops. Simple, but hard to follow.

a good investment strategy must understand the price of the price of the rise of the coin, if we already understand the price of the market price we have to invest as much as we are, the most important thing we profit when invested.

Hey..

I know that everyone has different investment strategies such as day trading, hodl, buying icos and so forth...

I am selecting the best icos of every month and then I am investing into 2-3 icos for every month, but I have heard many people complaining abouy buying icos because price tend to get lower when hitting exchange for the first time..

And sometimes I am simply frustrated when hearing shit tons of people saying that buying icos is stupid.. but I guess its not so time consuming as day trading..

what is your strategy??? and what are pros and cons of your strategy??

This is my strategy:

- Premined or not?

Premined coins are too suspicious. The devs take an initial big slice for themselves always justifying that with some philosophical rhetoric but there are many past examples of total scam coins using this scheme.

- ICO or no ICO?

I don't like ICOs, I prefer to invest in an already ongoing project with given proof of stability and endurance. I'm not saying all ICOs are scams, but same of them are for sure!

- How old is the coin?

In my book, if a coin is still being actively traded after 3/4 years of existence, this has to mean something; there is a faithful community behind it.

- Is it still being actively developed?

Following the previous point, if after 3/4 years the coin still has a dev team committed to it with real plans for the future, then it has a real project!

- Does it have any real use besides pure pump and dump speculation?

Is the coin being used for any kind of purchases? If not, are there any plans for it? Otherwise, it will only be a play toy for trading.

- Does it have an active and large community?

How large is the community? Is it still active or everybody left a long time ago?

- Is it PoW of PoS?

Proof of Work is a dead end, the power consumption is obscene. Not viable for the average domestic crypto enthusiast. Proof of Stake can be done with a Rasberry Pi Grin

- Fully functioning wallet?

Some coins have terrible wallets, unstable, not user friendly. This is a key factor, the software has to be in line with the state of the art crypto developments.

- What is the current marketcap?

A coin already above 100mil might not be the best bet if you can find a good one below 100 mil with a good growth perspective.

- What is the current/total coin supply?

Scarcity might prove to be an added value in the long run if you are planning to hold a coin and leave it for your kids!

Long term investments:

I currently have a few long term investments and they all share a set of fundamental characteristics:

- PoS assets

I truly believe PoW is a dead end due to the obscene power consumption. PoS assets require minimal resources, like a Raspberry PI.

PoS v3 are fantastic and I own a few masternodes.

- Old assets

I don't trust the ICO model, it's prone to all kinds of schemes. Some ICOs might be genuine but it's almost impossible to distinguish them from the plethora of scams.

I invest in well established projects, still being actively developed after 3 or 4 year of existence.

- Realistic figures

Many new projects promise crazy returns like ~70k% ROI/year. It might work for a couple weeks but the inflation will kill all these scams after a short period of time.

For the long run, it's better to choose reasonable figures like ~20%/year or even less.

Risk management:

1 - Study

2 - Don't fall for the latest ultimate coin/token. It's probably another scam...

3 - Study a bit more

4 - Never invest what you can't afford to lose.

5 - Keep studiyng

6 - Never borrow to invest in crypto

7 - Choose wisely and start with small investments

8 - Don't sell in panic. Don't buy in euphoria.

9 - Relax

10 - Enjoy  Grin

It is a good idea to buy after ICO this month because they are not reaching a good launch most of the times and you can get a cheap bag for the future.

Personally, I use a long-term investment strategy. This is the most clear and pleasant investment strategy. For example, you take several promising coins: bitcoin and ethereum. After the purchase, your task is to wait a long time for a big jump in the course. As practice shows, this strategy in the cryptocurrency market fully pays for itself.

My strategy is to understand when the market will start from the bottom to have time to buy a token at the lowest price. And then sell it to the highest. But this strategy works only now, when the market changes every 3 days.

If you have decided the certain strategies to buy or invest in ICOs, never regret it and never be frustrated. It will only make you panic and then sell out your coins even at the lower price. Just keep your coins as the long or short investment (depend on the coins). Then, you yourselves who can decide whether to buy or sell the coins at the right time.

How do you know when will the market reach the bottom and when will going to its highest? As far as I know no one does, but most of the people buy at the lowest possible price, youre considered lucky if you purchased at the bottom dip. Then sell it during the highes possible price, but then again youre considered lucky when you sell during the highest price on a perfect timing. I assume this is what youre supposed to mean?

The strategy that I adopt is investing in multiple altcoins then hold and wait for the market to take a roll. I am not saying all your altcoins will go higher but some will and they will cover and compensate the gains of the other altcoins as well. After you get the desired gain, just withdraw some profit from it and reinvest it in the crypto world again. This is the cycle I follow, keeps me safe from huge losses Cheesy

I also never understand these people that choose one so-called best altcoin and invest in it. My strategy is to deal with many different alts. If one of the cryptocurrencies falls, the other can go up.

Invest 15% to 20% of your income for the long term and don't keep more than 15% to 20% of your net worth in your primary residence. Many of the millionaires we've interviewed keep their mortgage or rent payment below 25% of their take-home pay.

Yes, choosing a project for personal interests is a very good strategy, because you all know well and know where you will carry this project.

The best way in investment is 30% of your income for the long term. And we must understand the market when it will start from the bottom to have time to buy a token. It is very useful to invest for our future.

It's all about what ICO you go into. There are great designs that bring a lot of x's. And there are medium-sized projects, which fall after the ICO in price.
