We must look at the situation. I regret some coins that I did not sell before believing in them

If you prefer long term you should try bitcoin and Ethereum. But if you prefer short term you should try altcoins. It depends  on you, if you prefer fast earnings go short term and try altcoins Wink

I think that both long-term and short-term investments are equally risky, because of the high volatility of the crypto market. Daily trading can lose you a lot of money as well as long-term investment in shit coins. Long-term investment is a little bit less risky though, because the crypto market will become green and the prices will grow.
yes, I think like you so that both investments are equally risky, so I think that you should not think too much about this topic. If you are trading during the day, then you will in any case rely on the current situation and prospects for the at least next week. If you are an optimist and think that in the future the price is necessarily puffed up, then you will still be on the current situation, you will wait for your profit as much as you need.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?
Long term - Eos and Ethereum. Both are perfect assets.
Short term - altcoins like Ripple, XLM and IOTA

I hold everything for a long-term, cos market is not stable right now and it is riscky to trade or invest for a short-term.
In 1-3 years crypto will cost much more than it is now for sure, that is why I choose long-term.

Since the market is too volatile, I decided to hold them for a longer term than risking in a short term. More patience than regretting in the end and for now, buying is a good idea.

If we have a chance to invest in long term the better because it would be profitable if the entire crypto market will grow.
Short term investment is all about proper timing, if you are good at it, of course you can make good money and limit does not exist here.

Long Term are less risky that short term. Moreover when we invest in ICO or new Alt. It's very risky and we all know that risk like SCAM or even the coin became garbage. So Long Term are the best option for me.

For me, i must prefer more on the long term investment rather than short term like bitcoin and ethereum because that's what I am holding right now. But there are coins that i am holding only for a short period of time. It really depends on the coin that i am holding but before i invest on it i will make it sure that it has a positive reviews about that coin and have a huge possibility that it will pump soon.

I prefer investing crypto in the long run, because, if we invest in the long term, we will get a lot of profits, it's in my opinion

I prefer bitcoin and ethereum in long term, these two are both good assets, And for short term Altcoin like ripple or Iota these are good for trading and buying.

Some coins for long term and some coins can be profitable in short term trading. So the person trading in should be very much aware of the market prices of the past atleast 6months flow graph of the coin you select to trade. Then you start planning for long term or if short term.

Long-term investment and short-term investment seem to be different.
The point of long-term investment I think is that risk return is lower than short-term investment. The reason is that in long-term investment, the long-term investment can be seen at this point unless bitcoin has a huge negative factor at this point. Of course, after this, the price of the beat coin is too high, so buying it at that time and investing in the long term may be more dangerous than a short term investment.
The short-term investment is to sell and buy very quickly, so you have to check every minute of the market flow, and even if you have a 3-5% profit rate, you have to sell it for a short period of time. However, the important point here is that when you buy, when you buy at the highest price and the market trend turns down, you will suffer tremendous damage if you can not break it.

That is depend on the person, some preferred to short term because they don't want to wait longer they want to circulate what they have, long term waiting for the right time.

Short term is not as much as risky as long-term, You can get a lot of profit or no profit but you can save your money in short term also on the other hand long term can give you a lot of profit but it has a lot of risks if the price strikes down in minutes you cannot do anything so both have risks and profits as well.

It really depends! But let's make it clear:
We have to have Bitcoin and Ethereum first for long hold.
The other alts are for short time profit. Just use your own effort to check what suits your needs!
I like to invest in ICOs and turn my profit into Bitcoin and invest more on Ethereum. Ftec for a sample can be a very good profitable ico. and I do recommend it: https://ftec.ai

Properly managing a portfolio can be really tricky especially for people who do not have the time to watch their wallet daily analyzing what to hold and what to sell.
Personally I prefer to hold stable tokens for great projects because  the market is really volatile and tokens of ordinary projects can easily drop in value. The best is to invest your portfolio in reliable projects, this are the ones you can comfortably Hodl long term even in bear markets.
This year PundiX, ziliqa, mainframe, quarkchain and a few more are projects that are still above ICO price and giving good ROI to investors, even in the bear market.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?

If you want to make a big profit, then buy as many coins as possible when the market is cheap and sell it all when the market is stable.
But, if you want to do business with a long time, then choose the best coins and keep it up in time. Investing is just following your personal thoughts.

The risk of day trading is very large, you need to be very familiar with this market and have a lot of trading experience, and it takes a lot of time. So I prefer long-term investment, invest when the currency is low, and then wait for the market to enter the bull market and sell again. This approach is much simpler and can also capture a lot of benefits.
