Asicminer has already developed an OSE system that relies on a centralized server to parse the transaction data that represents certain information. If MSC is BTC 2.0, this OSE system of Asicminer could be like BTC 1.5.

Detailed introduction of the OSE system(in chinese):

I have  contacted Rockxie on adopting MSC for Asicminer. But it seems that they would like try out their stuff first.

Are there any researches among us?

I am putting up a $1000 bounty for writing what may be the first peer-reviewed Mastercoin paper. Details:

Quote
http://fc14.ifca.ai/bitcoin/cfp.html

The first person or team to get a paper accepted into the Financial Crypto 14 conference, receives the bounty.

FYI the workshop is sponsored by The Bitcoin Foundation.

====>Researcher here!

"  Paper submissions must be anonymous "

...so umm how do I prove that I wrote that one? =)

>>is that @$1000 cash or in BTC?~tia!!~   Cool

Use an alias with a digital signature attached. You should at least know this if you're writing a paper on cryptocurrency.

when they are published they are not anon, this is simply for peer review.

also note that you must be able to follow the Lecture Notes in Comp Sci format for the submission and basically submit it in Latex format.

interesting.

i thought they were going to branch something off from CC.  this is disappointing that it is a centralized server, only a matter of time until some group takes advantage of this...

It's better to begin setting a MSC mining pool now. MSC transactions will be given the highest priority and each miner believes in MSC can join this pool instead.

Or do what should have been done right from the start, and run Mastercoin as a real alt-coin rather than piggy-backing on Bitcoin.

FYI it is possible to use 'side-chain' approach: Mastercoin will be as secure as Bitcoin and would be able to benefit from Bitcoin integration (i.e. Bitcoin <-> Mastercoin distributed exchange), but won't require space in Bitcoin blockchain.

Mastercoin that is not built directly on top of Bitcoin is not Mastercoin. The Mastercoin protocol was not build on top of the Bitcoin blockchain only to leverage its proof-of-work.

The problem now is if Luke's patch is applied in all big pools, Mastercoin will be DoA. Only one MSC transaction is allowed in 10 minutes in that case. MSC relies on BTC, but BTC community seems care nothing about MSC. In that thread, nobody even mentioned MSC except me.

For anybody who is looking to buy some coins and/or want's to help test my wallet and the distributed exchange and who is not afraid of command line installations on OSX or Ubuntu. I just posted an distributed exchange message for 10 MSC @ 0.2 a coin. X-post from my development thread.

With the actual rate, Exodus has $2M on bounty to push Mastercoin on stage.

Indeed, it's a very good news and maybe we should think bigger !

Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone.
it has lots of buttery taste..

don't worry, you shall see in the coming weeks, there are certainly developments on that particular front that we shall soon see the fruits of our labor of.

But the best way to accomplish putting Mastercoin on stage is by building the "product" we say we'll have first.

You're a researcher, figure it out Smiley

We'll pay via BTC or MSC.

False. The blockchain is only a specific backend infrastructure. If and when that infrastructure no longer suits our purposes, we'll migrate.

This isn't a researcher. This is an asshole who tries to improve his accounts' status by posting many half-inane messages. Basically, his messages are related to topic in question, but are generally meaningless.

It's easy to recognize his posting style.
