I'm pessimistic about that. Yes, Ripple gives faster and cheaper transactions, even heard that it was conceived as early as 2004. However, unlike Bitcoin, it was originally used by banks as a transaction network. In other words, this is a centralized cryptocurrency. I think, this is one way for the banks to compete with decentralized cryptocurrencies. Btw, ripple cannot be mined and the creators have complete control over this token. People wants to get away from centralized currencies nowadays. Once cryptocurrency enters it's ripe stage, bitcoin will still hail as the king. why? let me spell it out: B L O C K C H A I N.

I think ripple is moving in the right direction with working with the banks first to slowly ease the society into accepting crypto currency. Rather than just doing a big bang revolution approach where you try to overhaul everything at once

That's one of the reasons why Ripple will not get the top spot anytime soon. Decentralization is the future and once everyone understands how ripple really  works, including the shitload of coins currently in reserve by the Ripple team. Until then, Everyone's chasing Ripple towards the uptrend line. Decentralization would win at the end of the day.

While BTC and ETH need to figure out scaling issues, this is the time for Ripple to thrive, quick and cheap transactions. If they don't capitalize now, I don't see them having any edge as a centralized coin.

Not that it will ever happen, but who here would love to see Ripple's release a version as a stablecoin? Wouldn't bankers want the stability of 1:1 value with the US Dollar with the convenience of cryptocurrency?

It's not even the blockchain technology itself. Ripple and other alts can use the same technology or find some other solution. The problem is what you said before, ripple is completely under the control of the developers and a few handpicked validators. Blockchain in their case is little better than a centralized database. And that is what people are moving away from. From having to depend on banks, governments or others to dictate who can use their services. With whom we can deal with. And under what conditions we can do so.

The answer is no.  First, Ripple is the company, and XRP is the currency.  XRP is not the currency of the future, but it may play a huge role in the global banking market.  Only time will tell.

I also agree on this. There are many people telling that ripple is centralized, it is not decentralized. Because as you said, XRP is the company. Most of the use of Ripple is bank, but I believe that , on one bank will use ripple and they fiat will be forgotten.

The current price is very good for investors. but I find it very risky to invest in this coin.
Buying a bitcoin will be a much safer investment. The price of the ripple experienced a huge decline Smiley

I think ripple is not the altcoin that will live long. In any case, if the power of America is not behind it   Smiley

Too many negative features in it. It is centralized, speculation, and ripple does not need a token at all. So time will tell what will happen to this altcoin, I personally do not hold it, although perhaps the future is really behind it.

I think that XRP becomes the new global currency for the world, as many people expect and forecast, this year can be the year of Ripple, it will be rising up quite substantially.

Why? I think Ripple is the best option in cryptocurrency world to becomes the digital currency for the world. Sold your Ripple at $ 3 is good decision because you sold it before the bloodbath time happen. But for the future of Ripple, it can grows more.

Evryone known what xrp in the last year ( something like 30000% ). The ripple project is workin' like future bank. In Your opinion is possibile for Ripple become the new global currency for the world?

ripples big bet is that it xrp will become a bridge currency that many financial institutions use to settle cross-border payment for faster and more cheaply. which can be slow and include middleman.and monero is not decentralaized  and controlled by a company. so a currency controlled by any company can not be the future currency. it can be the future currency of the banking sector.and it will have great influence on future currency system.

Well, personally, for me, the ripple is very overrated. I do not see any reasonable reasons for such a pumps, so that a possible very rapid sharp collapse. Most likely the opinion is not entirely objective since I have personal claims to this coin.
