Personally I use bitcoin core wallet. Just syncs the blockchain when I open it (the whole 180GB of it)... Otherwise I hardly use any wallet, I mine altcoins to the pool accounts until I decide it's time to exchange that for btc...

Right, so I have to go with the Onda I guess.. thx ! citronick I let my "old" baikals run with the multi switching option on nicehash.. they are mining 90% X13 and 10% X15 so you should go with the option or X13! Quark / Qubit is the best for X10 right now. I guess most of the buyers are mining Diamond or DeepOnion stuff  .. for baikal owners this is a quick buck right now. |

Quark / Qubit is the best for X10 right now. I guess most of the buyers are mining Diamond or DeepOnion stuff .. for baikal owners this is a quick buck right now. quite glad that I kept all the old Baikals, esp the ones with X13/X15 (wonder why the X10s abd Giant-B dont have this X13/X15) |

So far the six-slot Onda with integrated CPU works well. Just the annoying Windows stickiness (allegedly linked to the 1709 creators' update - other rigs now seem to exhibit some sort of UI stickiness as well since I updated them). I received the monstrous Scythe fans Phil recommended so I'll mount them to the rig this weekend.

Oooh... My Nicehash balance just went down to zero... despite it not having hit 0.1 BTC yet. They're processing payments currently, but if they do pay me out before I reach the 0.1 BTC threshold that would be a (nice) surprise... The alternative would ofc be that they are in the process of running away with the balances again!  |

Oooh... My Nicehash balance just went down to zero... despite it not having hit 0.1 BTC yet. They're processing payments currently, but if they do pay me out before I reach the 0.1 BTC threshold that would be a (nice) surprise... The alternative would ofc be that they are in the process of running away with the balances again! anyone use a hardware wallet?? if so which one.
also anyone got a suggestion on a software wallet for tons of coins for safe holding?
both trezor and ledger nano s here. i like the trezor better but ive has one for years. trezor is easier to use (for me) and works with any browser. supports erc20 tokens through MEW. ledger supports more coins natively, plus erc20 tokens, again through MEW. nano s needs chrome browser at the moment but they are working on more browser support. both work with mycelium phone wallet, at least on android. both are bip39 compatible so seeds work with any bip39 hardware/software wallet. so either is a good bet. i too am looking for a desktop wallet that supports the oddball shitcoins ive collected that trezor/nano s doesnt support asi have no wish to run many different wallets and have to dl huge blockchains.. ive looked for some paper wallets for those coins, found one for sia coin (dont ask) and am playing with it to see if i can send from it. |

I hear ya Phil - seeds and a backup of the Tails drive stored in safe deposit box.
Probably the MAIN main main ... main reason I haven't done it is I am not trying to eat the fee to transfer all those BTC to the Trezor. If there were a way for me to do it without losing a few BTC I would but at this time I really can't justify it.
I would say that if I were just starting out hell yes I'd jump on a Trezor or Nano immediately.
If there's ever some sort of promotional rate for a transfer I'd be on that too. I'm just going to have to suck it up, those tx fees will be saved for cashing out, and I don't see myself cashing anything at all out for another year or 2.
just send it with a very low(ish) fees. after all who cares if it takes days or a week or two for the transaction to be picked up, its going to you anyway so no hurry. |

I wouldn't bother but it looks like you need to activate Windows if for no other other reason to stop Update from rebooting your machine every night, as it seems prone to do... |

I don't know if they paid all balances or if they just lowered the threshold and I happened to be over. I had moved my AMD rigs over to NiceHash for CryptoNight post hack but before they changed the payout threshold with no notice. Now I can move those back to MPH... |

Are the wallets really needed? 99% of all my BTC is stored and not used at all so that's why I never got one, and the TAILS drives I have are encrypted to the max and all transactions (if any) go over TOR/Onion anyways so I just never bothered with hardware wallets.
With the amount of BTC in the holdings I've always thought about getting a wallet, but just never seen the need yet.
I got 2 Trezors, my wife has 1 and got 3 more Trezors for my boys. 1 BTC in a Trezor for the kids when they turn 21 and face the new world. Trezors, Ledgers are hardware based OFFLINE wallets - when not in use - there are completely disconnected = secure Yeah I hear you on the secure offline and I know I will shoot myself if any of the wallets got compromised, let a lone a few of them. I just can't get myself to justify the transfer fee. Being a miser will be my downfall lol I use this chart to let me know when fees are relatively low. Move coins around when the demand is not so high and fees are lower. HW wallet, I use Trezor - basic but its simple to use and most secure. Ledger Nano S supports more alts coins Desktop wallet, Exodus and Eden Mobile wallet, Coinomi Try out the rest too and see which ones are suitable for your day to day use. Most of my daily crypto activities are done mainly in Gemini, Bittrex, Binance and Kucoin Then long term stash at Trezor, short term Exodus & Eden Does the Trezor support altcoins also I don’t need everyone under the sun just the basic |
As I see a super coin as the super highway and alt coins as taxis and trucks needed to move transactions. ~philipma1957

I'm going to build my own case, but one thing I would be wary of if buying a pre-made case is that the hole pattern on the Onda mobo will almost certainly be non-standard. Maybe the portion of the board that is within the ATX dimensions will have the ATX hole pattern, but the remainder of the board could be anything. |
