Just why did zclassic go down like 75% when it should be going up?

Because of the mass panic. People are selling on the drop because of the FUD. I think this is mostly because many bought ZCL with fomo effect while it had high price. Now they are cashing out to avoid huge losses.
Those who are selling are not in for the BTCP, but only for the dough. If you are in for BTCP, just HODL and be happy for what you might get in few months. Basic rule of investing is never invest if you cannot lose that amount. Another thing is not to buy on a peak. If you buy on the peak there is a big chance that you'll lose something. Ofc the price can always go higher, but it is a gamble.

Also there are a lot of dissappointed people, because only exchange currently supporting the fork is TradeSatoshi (HitBTC will list BTCP after fork, but no fork support). Things might still change exchange support wise, but if you are in for BTCP then you have nothing to worry about. Just keep ZCL in wallet and claim BTCP after fork.

Seems to me the devs doing all these forks have the most to earn by creating a forked coin of which they most likely have a lot of. So besides a generous pre mine (which most do), they also reap the coin match from the fork. Pretty clever way to make some quick crypto cash.

I notice the latest (forked) litecoin cash price really sucks right now lol. However I did mine it at launch briefly......

Lastly, just what we need.... another Equihash coin lol Roll Eyes

Although my main mining farm is and has been Equihash. I don't see this coin doing any better than the 5 or 6 coins we already have. Will be checking it out though.  Grin
You just wait and they will start auctioning off masternodes... with 20K minimum investment! Opportunity of a lifetime to make 100'000% a day!! Cheesy

One more day and less than 3 hours till the fork appears in case anyone interested to know here. This fork has draw the attention of everyone and has already touched the technical people to show some leveled interest. It can be game changer by becoming other successful fork by the end of year.

I only need to hold ZCL until after the snapshot. Once the snapshot is taken I can sell my zcl immediately and still receive BTCP?

Guys, does anybody know if I can use a Paper wallet to deposit my ZCL and only have the Private Keys, without importing them into Electrum wallet?

Will I still receive BTCP if I don't import the Private Keys in Electrum?

You cannot get BTCP without importing ZCL/BTC private keys to wallet with BTCP support (well you can, if your ZCL or BTC is at TradeSatoshi).

Useful information about the fork in this link.
https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinPrivate/comments/7xed60/please_read_zclassic_bitcoinprivate_snapshotfork/

For those who are wondering about exchange support.
Tradesatoshi - BTCP listing confirmed. Also support for ZCL and Bitcoin BTCP fork, if you transfer ZCL or Bitcoin here you'll receive BTCP. (Option for holding in wallet)

HitBTC - BTCP listing confirmed

KUCOIN - BTCP listing confirmed, also has BTC listed (if you hold Bitcoin here you should get BTCP).

HitBTC has announced they will list BTCP after the fork. Currently they do not list ZCL, so therefore you will not be able to hold your ZCL there during the snapshot.

HitBTC Пoддepжaлa кoмaндy BTCP, oни нaчнyт пpинимaть дeпoзиты пocлe фopкa. К coжeлeнию y ниx пapы тopгoвoй ZCL, пoэтoмy нeт вoзмoжнocти paздeлить пpямo нa биpжe вaши ZCL. Пo нaшим пpeдпoлoжeниям, тoлькo биткoины нa дaннoй биpжe cмoгyт cтaть BTCP.

Tomorrow is the snapshot date guys and I am holding a ton of Bitcoin and I bought my Zclassic very early that I am still holding. I think Bitcoin Private will be one of the greatest forks out there!

is anyone here actually comfortable using TradeSatoshi? I've heard some unsettling things, and I don't wanna get stuck with another HitBTC type of scenario....

1 of 4 withdraws went through, the rest should follow soon.

Got scared for a second, as last time I withdrawed ZCL from Cryptopia, it took about 24h.

So it would be there, but you would need to extract your private key from the Nano, which I have no intention of doing. I would be careful w/ HitBTC, as some coins have insane withdrawal fees (example: I bought 3000 Dentacoin, and the withdrawal fee = 18315 DCN). I'm think I'm going to make a new Jaxx wallet today, send BTC there, wait for fork, send BTC back to old location, and extract the key from the Jaxx wallet
