Not mine - both the 64 & 32 bit GUI versions lock up as soon as I touch them. As there is no cli or daemons in the windows zip download (why?) I'm having to run the older versions & they are slooooow to respond, but at least they sync.

I have over 20 other wallets on this system - all run great.

Because no one in their right mind runs a daemon on a system that's designed to need rebooting?  Roll Eyes

Unhelpful. With a name like computergenie, you don't come across as being very clever at all.

I'm not sure what you honestly expect; you're wanting to know why the release doesn't contain something it was never meant to contain (and you're personally butthurt about the OS-limiting reason it was never meant to contain it).   Undecided

The disrespectful comment IconFirm was uncalled for, but I feel his frustration. I have been trying to get my wallet to work for quite some time now as I am sure you can see from this thread. He's not the only one not able to connect. I have quite a bit of zet that I cannot even access due to the wallet not syncing. It is very frustrating. I appreciate all who have tried to help. I even tried to message Giskard directly and never received a reply. His frustration is justified but no need for the disrespect.

I'm not sure how it was "disrespectful". Nodes (the point of a daemon) are meant to be on systems with long uptimes; Windows is not such a system, which is why daemons for Windows if primarily unsupported in any release of any bitcoin-based coin.

Facts are neither respectful or disrespectful, they are just what they are.  Cool

I leave my computer on 24/7 anyway. I've one Block Erupter left from the old days of mining.

Question is, is it still worth leaving one of these running on a pool? I appreciate there won't be a huge profit but if the computer's on already anyway, I can't imagine 1 Erupter would cost too much extra? My intention would be to trade anything I made, which is where I'd hope to make my gains.

Thoughts appreciated

Yup (although, with the overmining and timed transactions, I sense an impending DSA around the corner)

Risk of fork?

All I know for sure is that there's zero direct mining advantage for 1 person to put 500TH on a coin that's paying them a flat return of ~$50 a day (when most coins would pay them 8-10x that much). Unless I'm totally wrong and it's someone that's bored, has a ton of hash, and has free electric.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.
