Dont know if this issue was mentionned here before but what do you deep onion people think of the fact Tor might be compromised. Came across severa articles mentionning this over the last few years, last one just yesterday: https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-03-02/tor-project-almost-100-funded-us-government-reportIf true than the whole Deeponion project might be useless... Not trying to spread fud but this is the only reason why I did not invest in this coin yet. Thanks in advance for your replies. Interesting. Is Tor not open source? Governments do use Tor for many reasons, to hide their own identity. It could just be that they give money to the Tor project because they can. Other than that I haven't seen any evidence of a backdoor. And the more people using Tor, for example running a DeepOnion wallet, the much harder it makes it to track anyone. Yes TOR is opensource and upgraded regularly, now if the US secret services want to know how to best counter privacy technologies, it's a legitimate effort from their part. It does not mean that DeepOnion with all the different privacy layers will not be really hard if not impossible to trace and they will have to find other ways than through the DeepOnion network. |

defintely! my withdrawal stuck since 17 days.... 3 airdrops skipped with that onions. craptopia -,- That's horrible. How much is stuck in Cryptopia? I would be beyond pissed off. Seriously. We have to take advantage of it Agreed, the current prices are very tempting, Especially as this will be a great POS coin going forward, even after the airdrops you can make 10% up to July then 5% for the next year back in Onions! Yes, POS staking is very addictive, if one gets used to these little information popups in the right corner with new mined rewards, one only wants to acquire more Onions to get the next popup window sooner. Agreed! When I have headphones in doing something else and I hear that "Ding" sound, its one of the best perks of the day haha! I managed to stake about 50 Onions last week as I had been out the country for a little while so my stake had built up allot, so that was a nice bonus week! Weird. My wallet never dings. Did you have to adjust the default settings to make it ding? Nope, I think its Windows 10, whenever a notification comes in it dings, so whenever the wallet is running on the PC, as soon as a stake comes in, i get a notification bottom right of the screen and a little "Ding" sound. Same when an email comes in, so must be windows rather than the wallet. |

I think the efforts are better spend in peripheral ways of tracking people than through the Tor network. Such as even mouse finger printing, or flaw in a java code or something like that. |

Going to be a strange feeling when Friday is no longer Airdrop day,
I was lucky enough to have been in the drop since July so its been a standard thing now for over half a year for me.
That said - Once it ends, Votecentral will fully come to play, I can't wait to see how that develops!

That's a great thing about DeepOnion, which is that once it gets even more popular, more exchanges will add it. It's always good to have more options. It was great to see that the same amount of DeepOnions were given last Friday as the previous Friday! And, even though I have a couple hundred coins so far, I almost mined 2 DeepOnions yesterday, but got the "Conflicted" message which means someone else was able to solve the block first. Did not expect it would be possible to get that many coins for the amount of coins I'm staking!
