It says that it synched, then out of synch and has to catch up...

Thus causing staking issues, and orphaned stakes.

Personally I am going to wait a few days and keep an eye on the block count before I update.

Has there been any official statement to possibly hold off on the update? Not recommending a rollback... I know the team is already aware of the issues that are going on and diligently at work trying to hash them out.

I would like to also welcome you. As you know if you have been in crypto very long, those who get in early make the most. This project is less than a year old and hit a ATH a couple months ago (as did most coins) of $20USD. Very few altcoins that had been around longer got anywhere near that. Then of course the market went down as did the price of DeepOnion and all coins. It will go back up so now is the time to get into the market. You can even try it out by installing a wallet (easy instructions on site) and hitting the faucet for FREE ONIONs. I might have to copy that tactic. Blocks appear faster than it's able to sync, so it's kinda stuck syncing for all eternity...

When is the fork estimated to take place, in terms of time, not blocks? It really would be better if the system would work smoothly by then.

Totally agree. And If any government declares to kill a privacy coin , it will only increase its price. And there will always be a way to trade them.

I simply have both installed right now, if 1.6 gets stuck for some reason I just launch the older one. They will fix it soon for sure

A positive impact after G20. It's sounds like most of contries does not agree with any regulations on cryptocurrencies. It could be keep free trading in the future. I guess the BTC could still have chace to reach $100k at end of this year.

It has been often synchronised with network after upgraded wallet(quite  annoying). But I still could use it normally and staked some coins.

I believe it was said that we have roughly 2 weeks before the hardfork occurs at block 460,000. Hopefully the devs will have the synching issues solved real soon.

This video was very much needed. I can only assume that it will help DeepOnion project very much as it will get the word out to a lot of people who speak Chinese whether they live there or not.

Onion should be able to talk with local communities in their native language, it is very important and thanks to strong community it is going to do this.
