If this alt-coin is indivisible, it means that if/when it rises in value you will only ever be able to send someone the value of a single unit as a minimum transfer...

Imagine if these were worth as much as Bitcoins are currently... the minimum you could transfer to someone would be over $100...  It is great to see that someone if trying to create something that actually has a difference, because most Alt-coins out there are just copy/paste jobs...  but this just wont work.

Its a bit of a fun at the moment. just relax. If it ever gets big there will be more than enough solutions. Or it may even get hardforked and the smallest unit changed.

Right now I don't even have two pennies to rub together  Sad

actually the units are small enough and numerous enough that it will not be a problem, encouraging round figures is a good idea.

Ask any coin collector: a US one cent coin is not named a penny. It is a one cent coin, referred to as a "Lincoln Cent" to distinguish it from earlier issues. "Penny" is purely an informal term like "greenback" or "sawbuck."

Since I made the original post, network speed has quadrupled, and diff doubled.  Interestingly, I'm still getting a nice steady stream of coins.  Would be nice if someone tossed up a pool.

Kinda hard to pool mine when you can't divide them and there's only 1 cent per block  Wink The Qt won't let you put a decimal in and even if you try to send a .xx from the command line, it will round them up to the next even penny.

Good point!  I will attempt pointing all my CPUs using the previously mentioned CPUminer at the QT client in server mode and see how well that goes.
