As indicated by predictions bitcoin should have achieved 15k$ by end of 2017 and fall in first week of jan 2018

In any case, shockingly its effectively reached 17k$ in 2017.

Should I purchase or hold my btc?I don't plan to sell at any point in the near future.

I still believe that bitcoin would have more value in the future. It is only just recently that bitcoin has got the attention of more people that's why there is a rapid rise in price. There are of course negative predictions but then if you just don't want to miss on bitcoin having high value in the future and you are worried it might go down in value then you should diversify your investments in various coins. Once you double the price then you get your original investment and let it run because it is a profit anyway wherever the price will go in the future.

It's a very humble request to those have bitcoins, please keep patience. No need to sell it at least next two years.People are looking for the opportunity to invest in bitcoin in lower level. You can also think, if it is going up means someone buying it. If someone buying it at this level, he knows it will give a good return coming days.

If you believed and trust in bitcoin then go for it just invest and keep it until the price were going pump, because for me bitcoin is the best coin of all cryptocurrency, i invested bitcoin 20% of my salary every month end because i strongly believed that the price of bitcoin were going to the moon at this year 2018. And i expect that i have a good return after few months.
But the decision is yours nobody can forced you to put invest but if you ask me i have huge amount investing in bitcoin for long term purposes or urgent need.

Whatever the case is, Bitcoin price will set at least $20K USD in this month, so don't be worried about holding Bitcoin. If you have noticed that Bitcoin price is getting a stable position so that it will be more worth than ever. I have a strong belief that Bitcoin will not crash and it will dominate the financial market in the future. That's why you have to hold Bitcoin as much as you can.

If you understand the risks of holding and you know what you are doing then just do what you want. After all, I guess you will not made a plan like that if you don't do analyzation. No one knows what will happened in the future so try it and see for yourself.

It's risky but like I said if you really understand what you're doing then you can play the game. And honestly, putting money on bitcoin is a risky method that is worth to give a shot since we have lots of reasons to believe on that. Goal for long term. If you have guts to spend money at the current bitcoin price rate, then go.

Choosing to hold comes with understanding that there are risks in holding. There are risks because there's no guarantee for you to get your money back or to earn profits. Even with everyone saying that bitcoin will have high value in the future, there's no guarantee for that to happen. Believing in the predictions in itself is a risk because you can never tell whether it will really happen.

It's best to determine for yourself, and decide for yourself whether to continue to hold or sell.

I think everything that involves money or investing has risks. But holding is not much riskier than trading though. So if your choosing to trade or hold your money. I think you'd better be holding than trading.

It can be both because there are times that you don't know you are hodling on a digital currency in which its market price never rises back when it falls down deep. There are also times that you hold a certain digital currency even if the market price seems so hopeless to come back but it your decision of hodling pays off when its market price rises again and tripled.

every investment is risky, do not put all eggs in one basket

What he said. Honestly, if you just buy bitcoins and hold, it won,t be as good as buying bitcoins and buying alt coins. So what you want to do is you go buy bitcoins, hold it until it gains profit, sell the profit, and buy some rising alt coins like ripple or prl. Search for other profitable alt coins that are just starting.

The risk is always there, if you want to buy now then the risk is, the price may go down after you buy. But if you decide to wait before you buy, the risk is that the price may go up. You have to be brave to make a decision and do not regret what you have decided whatever the outcome because it is useless. You have to be wise.
I think so. when you start a business then you also have to take a lot risk regarding making the profit. So everywhere you will find risk. That's why investment Bitcoin is not out of the real world business, Be realistic and think straight. without risk, you can't get anything in this complicated world.

I believe that Bitcoin price is getting almost a stable price so that anyone can invest in this platform and gain a handsome amount of money from here. So you have to take a risk and start to invest in Bitcoin for a long-term period.

Holding bitcoin will always have risk. Price might drop out of nowhere and you will lose all your profit. But what if the price would triple suddenly and you sold all your bitcoin already? I think of risk as an opportunity that can lead to something good depending on how well you handle it. Life is full of risk and if you don't take risk you will never accomplish anything at all.

I dont think so if it is a risk because sometimes you can get a good profit by holding bitcoin because of the high price. Maybe it will risk when you hold in a wrong time because when you hold your bitcoin it have a good price maybe you should choose a good time.

For me holding bitcoin is a risky job because we never know the price when will fall and rise. But if we want to make profits we need to make such risks because nothing in this life will come from comfort zone. Smiley

The one and only way that not risky is holding your bitcoin for a long time. Why? Because you can sell them for the best price you want. For me, if I had more than 70% profits from the price, I'll sell them. Just wait and sell if you think you had some profits, you can earn some profits as simple as that. It's different if you do invest your bitcoin.

Every investment has its risk but it depends on what are you doing with your investment. Just remember don't put all your eggs in one basket. For others, holding bitcoin is better than gambling or trading but for those who have enough knowledge and skill in trading they will invest it in trading.

Risky of course, its normal in this kind of market. But I think holding such great coins like bitcoin is not too risky because we all know that this great technology will leads us to a brighter future. Always Invest on what you can afford to loose so you will not regret the decision you made. Keep on learning and profit will surely come.

Either way, investment is always risky. The market changes at all times.
So, I think it's important not to invest everything you have in one place.

holding bitcoin is risky? absolutely not, by the history of bitcoin, while you are holding your bitcoin the price/value of it become more bigger. so if you are a bitcoiner from the past 2-3 years, you already know about this. but if you are a newbie in this community, you better to search first and find some prof that holding bitcoin is more profitable in the future. but anyways i will suggest to hold your bitcoin for more that 2-3 years.
