As indicated by predictions bitcoin should have achieved 15k$ by end of 2017 and fall in first week of jan 2018

In any case, shockingly its effectively reached 17k$ in 2017.

Should I purchase or hold my btc?I don't plan to sell at any point in the near future.
It would be risk if you leave your private keys anywhere. But it is safe if you hold it becasue you have no reason to open your wallet daily to monitor your token. Monitor it atleast twice a week or every other day.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Nobody can know what will happen tomorrow because of that we call it 'risk' and this is the main point of earning money via bitcoin.

If they sell now, the price is likely to rise. If you wait, the price may fall. Just a reminder that investing in bitcoin is a very high risk.
I think all investments are risky if you invest in Bitcoin at least the risk is smaller than other coins.  if you do not invest then you will be very loss because this is long term and Bitcoin definitely rise again

Investments is always at risk,as well as in crypto business where prices always changes..but since we are already here we must take every chances that we already have in our hands its just a matter of strategies inorder to profit. To think we are lucky enough knowing that there is this digital currency that can change our life in the future. All i can say is hold your bitcoins, because i could see that it could live for more years as its popularity had just started..and more people would adopt it if they know bitcoin could change someones life .

You can expect more on bitcoin than any other cryptocurrency,  many cryptocurrency enthusiast are investing their money in ICO which mean it's time to grow their bitcoin. All profit that they earn will be converted into bitcoin or fiat. Likely more investors will like to covert their altcoin to bitcoin because it's bitcoin is safe haven for long term investment.

It's the only thing that you'll think when it comes to holding. There's no other thing that you must think besides about it but only the increase and decrease.

And that's how every holder relies on bitcoin, everyone wants to see it pumping because we've been holding bitcoin even though I don't have that much.

For investors and traders they are good even the price is decreasing, it's a good time for them to buy on that moment.

Crypto is the name of risk but i have forgotten the great philosopher name who said "The biggest risk is not taking any risk" so take risk but don't put all eggs in one basket and always invest that you can afford the loss.

Yes it is. Bitcoin is a very unstable. It may go up or down easily in terms of price. It maybe going up for now, but it can go down in the future. It is very complicated in this type of invesment. You must have good judgment in this line of business. The ability to assess the situation can give some advantage.

as of now...yes because of continuing low value of bitcoin but it does not mean it will end up to the lowest...we must be patient to wait for bitcoin to rise again because it is just temporary in lowering its value

usually if you want to get big profits and continue to walk then you should buy in the price when it goes down and sell while up again, keep repeating the sepereti it will be much better than the bell; i saved until the price multiply from the price when buying

because bitcoin is difficult to predict but can be observed the movement of its price

Well everything has risks, you just need to believe that you can. You must study the background of bitcoin and think whether it will be able to grow much further.

If you have entered the market to earn @ very high percentage i.e. abnormal returns, you must have to get ready for losses too, because everybody entering the market is coming with the same motive.  Loss for one person converts into the gain for the other.  In the rising markets it appears as everybody is earning because one unit of bitcoin if purchased for (suppose) $10 k and due to bullish trend in the market prices are rising and the person holds the bitcoin for suppose one month and after one month the price goes up to $15 k the person will be gaining huge profits.  Now the new person who bought @ 15K and suddenly bearish trend starts and downfall in the price starts so then he should hold it or sell he has to immediately decide otherwise he may be a big looser.

So at different times we have to decide whether to hold the bitcoin or crypto to further some period or to immediately sell it.  Sometimes deciding to hold will give you benefits but on some other occasion decision of selling may be a loosing decision.

In a rising market selling decision may be wrong but in falling market hold decision may prove wrong decision.  So without deep knowledge do not enter in the market otherwise you may be big looser.  Also do not put all the eggs in one tray.

To answer your question quite simply. Yes.

Bitcoin is a high risk investment, it was when you first got in and it will always be until we see mainstream adoption but what you must take into consideration is that this may never happen.

The mantra you need to follow is: can I afford to lose the money I have invested for the potential huge gains you may see in the future.

Holding depends in the risk that you going to have it's about human nature. but of course Holding too long will gain you big. Is just like buying gold and sell it for the next 10 years.

To answer it simply, yes, holding bitcoin is a risk. However, there is nothing bad about risks. It depends on the person. I personally use my extra income in bitcoin, therefore whether I gain money or not, really doesn't bother me much. Do not put all your money in bitcoin. Invest in other coins. banks, etc.

In my own opinion, i don't think holding bitcoin will be a risk. Bitcoin is a new innovation with a nice concept, which is still at its early stage and more people are yet to adopt it in the future. It can be said that bitcoin has a future and as such would make its value appreciate.

In my opinion, Even holding there is also a risk, if the price drops and persists in cheap prices in a long time, it will be long for us to get our money back.
