We all know that holding or investing is a risk but if we patiently wait for the perfect timing bigger profit awaits us. Its just like short term investment, its more risky than long term investment because we know that in the long run bitcoin price will keep on increasing. Since we know that its risky we need to study carefully what we are going to invest so that we can assure the return of our investment plus the profit. We have to be patient and hopeful because bitcoin always brings us the best and always help us make our lives better.

It depends if that is the only btc you have. I advise to invest the half in any other coins and hold the half. Don't let your money sleep, if you have plenty of extra time to do trading, you can do that. Don't just wait for btc value to rise, you will never tomorrow the price go down. But at the end of the day, it is still your choice, I am just suggesting what I am doing right now, not sure what will be the outcome but so far so good. I have losses too but what I gained is worth.

Risk is always found any kind of business not only BTC but also other business. Every thing has a good or bed site. So, any kind of business also have a bad or good side. Without risk anyone cannot achieve their goal. Holding BTC will have risk but holding is the best way to earn money.

I think for long term invest on potential coins such as Btc,Eth,Monero, waves will be better.if you invest on potential coins then there little risk but most probably you will be gainer.

Good advice Chris314, but it is a little un-nerving watching the value drop steadily, I would like to buy more BC but unsure as to where it will end up. I guess line all others hoping to see a recovery soon

Bitcoin has always proven that it is really a profitable asset, constantly beating expectations after expectations, analysts and critics are constantly telling that bitcoin will die soon, that the value is just a bubble. But until now BTC has proven them wrong. I believe that bitcoin is here to stay, it is the future of our monetary system, surely we are still in the development stage and fluctuations are normal. everything you do in the market has it's different risk lets put this in perspectives

U have 1 bitcoin let say it's price as of now is $1000 then
Tomorrow it got $1100 you probrably thinking to sell it then you sell it.  Then tomorrow the price gets lower u are probably thinking that a did a good thing but the next day the price gets 3x this is the good of holding you might have big ROI but there are risk  u might get stuck if the price gets lower and lower. But remember great things comes to those who wait.

Everything in life is risk, the moment you step outside your door there are plenty of risk. So is bitcoin, holding is definitely risky but I like to take risk. The thing is don't invest if you are just here for short term or if you can't handle the pressure. But if you are like me a risk taker, yes we could fall hard if suddenly bitcoin will drop its price but think of the profit we make if its price continues to sky rocket.
