Education is not all about studying and getting good marks. It is really a means to discover new things which we don't know about and increase our knowledge.

Everything about your real skills) You can learn many things by yourself, and become the best one in some area (without University degree, like Jobs). Many people I know are amazing specialists without "diploma", and some have diplomas, but aren`t specialists in that area at all. Of course, it depends on work area specifics. Most jobs are seeking certifications from recognized institutions. I really don't think that they are going to let an self educated person irrespective of how smart they are to really get a job which requires certifications in the first place.

True that for some spheres of a  job like medicine or some physic scientist. But you can get into the sphere from the bottom if you try really hard and show yourself as a respectful and a hardworking employer.

yes of course even old days, Many children from low class family do not have the opportunity to go school and have education, instead they are working as young age and no progress from their lives. Our society looks up education in a very high regards. If one person has no education, people call him or her as illiterate, dumb, etc. but if you have the education, they respect and see you as good citizen. To answer you, yes, it is still necessary to have education. Even if you have the weath but no education, still, they will tag you as "uneducated illiterate person."

I need to disagree. Education's purpose is not just to add new knowledge and information to a person but also guide them with their inner person. This means, how they function as a human being. Through Moral Conduct, Character, Intelligence, and Everyday Life. Education is essential to a person to be able to function properly in our society. Ofcourse there may be another method of learning things but that doesn't complete a persons understanding on how the world works. We need education in our lives to live purposefully.

Yes. It is a must have before and its still the same today. Education will not just give us knowledge, it helps us experience things in life that will make us a better person in the future. I always tell my child to focus on his studies and always make friends with everyone at school Education builds character, responsibility, ethics, courage, integrity and diligence. That is very true, I will correct myself on that part. I agree completely now that education and schooling isn't the same thing.
Educating yourself (i will talk in term of IT field) as a programmer doesn't neccesarily mean going to college, EDUCATING is also if you read books by yourself, you go take certificates...not everything is college. But IT STILL is a shame degree gets you everywhere even tho you don't know shit when you finis college compared to a person that specified on something and went for certifiicates and hands on experience
