For yourself, for 2018 I picked a few coins which I will keep for at least a year's NEM,AGI(SingularityNET) - I think this coin is very promising, TEL (TelCoin) - this coin also has very significant growth potential in 2018.

Yes it can be consider as good to hold altcoin for a long time and at least for a year, but i think that the most important is the selection of the altcoin, we need to select such coin which have good potential and which have more chances that their price will increase. In fact there are so many altcoins which have only created for fund raising and there is not any other reason behind such coins, so we need to be careful while selecting an altcoin for investment.

Xrp good coins that immitated bank. But i dont like the circulation of xrp, its way too small conpare to the total supply. Im afraid its unhealthy for investation.

Golem and Siacoin seems to have gone dormant for the past few weeks. The exchange rates are either stable or declining and the trade volumes are also going down. NEM looks promising, but its recent stats are also not much encouraging.

Any of these coins cannot give you 100x return in 2018. Even 10x will not be possible seeign the performance of crytpto this year. Coins like Golem can give good returns though. I will also suggest you to go for coins like EOS. EOS has increased by more than 30% in past 2-3 days only.

Some people are saying that it can be next ETH, so you should invest some money in it.

I have no knowledge of the coins you mentioned above, but I believe holding neo and etherum coins within a year can be one of the best choices. because now these coins are popular and have the potential to be used as a long-term investment.

I am not too sure about the future of the coins you mentioned except NEM, I will only choose NEM for 1 year investment, I will choose a more potential coin for investment, besides NEM I prefer EOS, Eos will be the right investment.
