Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?

I would go for both. As I am not a gambler and I want to have risk management, I would hold both because both are valuable and two of the few coins that have actual uses in the crypto world so demand would just be increasing. Most of the people who are not into crypto yet do not know the existence of cryptocurrencies as a whole but they know about bitcoin so the tendency is that they would first buy it and then eventually know about other coins. Besides, bitcoin is the gateway for one to enter the crypto world like in our local platform perhaps. We can only buy and sell bitcoin with fiat with no other coins as option so we have no choice.

As for ethereum, most of the ICOs uses it so there is a huge demand causing an increase in price. Though there are other options of another network, ethereum is still the one used by most of it and after the ICO, there is already an exchange wherein the token would be tradeable which is in Etherdelta so it is favorable for many people.

For this year I believed that it both will still grow though for me its ethereum that will dominate this year because of its uses than bitcoin. Bitcoin now a days have problems but still the king of crypto since the industry is still growing.

I'm in doubt if it is eth or btc considering both coins when pump was surging sky rocketed and unstoppable but one thing for sure both will earn gain  in 2018 with regards for the percentage rate we dont know only time can tell

Comparing to BTC hold and ETH hold i think i will go with ETH, it's much more stable than BTC and not losing so much valuation in a short time like Bitcoin does.

Ethereum is more useful than BTC, blockchain from Ethereum has some services that are not owned by BTC, therefore,
Ethereum prices will continue to rise as the cryptocurrency community extends

I like ether a lot but i still pick the no.1 crypto "bitcoin" to continue its rise this year despite all the drop that is happening.The speculation for bitcoin to reach a new heights is still viable.Through its popularity and its demand for investment,there are still a lot of new and upcoming investors that will make their entrance into the cryptoworlds through bitcoin. Ether is a very good altcoins that really has the potentials to grow,with a solid platform(like bitcoin)on its back,plus the base coin for all ICO that trust its platform,it has all the ingredients to become successful. But let us consider that any movement of bitcoin, altcoins follow,so if bitcoin drop, ether will also drop,but if ether drops do you think bitcoin will follow, i don't think so.

I think, Ethereum increases faster than Bitcoin in 2018 but Bitcoin's price still higher than ethereum end of 2018. so both these coins rules together.

Why not both? That two coin will boom this 2018. But for more ROI go for ethereum, since ethereum is still undervalued compare to the price of bitcoin now. But if you want for long term, go divide your funds in that two coins and sell when you are already happy.

My strategy is going to be to use both also but probably more along the lines of Bitcoin for the early months of 2018 and Ethereum in the later months, the price of bitcoin is too low for me right now to not invest in it and keep the funds in it, Ethereum I believe in more strongly but I think it will take a bit of time off after the increases in recent months.

We can never give up both. We will have both of them to save ourselves. But the growth potential of ETH is better than BTC. For maximum profit, I'm now planning to go with ETH in a bigger percentage.

I will never give up on either, I think for any good portfolio it is important to have both, I will just transition between having my largest holding in bitcoin to having my largest holding in ETH. Of course this is subject to change but right now that's how I foresee things playing out.

It depends on your investment objectives and risk tolerance. If you want to just buy and save one cryptourrency, it should be Ethereum. I must warn you rather than holding Ethereum not for the faint of heart. If you're the type that panics sells when you see your investment down 20-50% then it's not for you. If you will quickly take advantage, then it may also not be for you. If you want to invest in the long term and last for at least a few years, Ethereum can be one of the best investments you'll ever make. If you prefer risk, you can use Bitcoin or a combination of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bitcoin is significantly less volatile but has less upside potential.

Ethereum has very high potential for mass adoption.

If you check the ICO market you will see that 90% percent of the new DApps are build on the Ethereum platform, which means that they need Ether to pay for smart contracts which are deployed in the network.

I believe that Etherium will have a positive uptrend because of its usage.

The team behind it is always looking for updates and repaying the majority of developers who come with brand new ideas - This year they will implement the Raiden Network - Faster transactions.

Large adoption is coming towards Etherium, for the moment i don’t think they are ready to support 70.000 transactions per second as VISA does, but new times are coming, new ideas are rising and people start to understand the technology better.

I can see Ether in 2018 reaching 2000 $

Why do you only choose 1 or 2? There are many other altcoins that have a good potential, ETH is very good lately because many things are pumping ETH’s selling price, I have a favorite coin like NEO it’s very good in my opinion. Many other altcoins that could be an option for you

Ethereum has lost it's value too much, I have 4 ethereums should I sell it and look for another altcoins or should I wait it to rise ?
