Ethereum much better as Bitcoin, because technology is more modern and smart contracts it is great opportunity to make really interesting projects. But price of Bitcoin will be on the top anyway due that it the main investment instrument in cryptocurrency, like US dollar in the fiat money world

Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?
As has long been known and probably will be so. Bitcoin will be something like a symbol and it will go up it's understandable, but use it as a payment system for the transfer of value, few will be, all because of high commissions and long processing operations. But ETH das a lot of percent in 2018 than bitcoin (very cool technology) - it's short. so bitcoin is a calculator in the ETH global super computer.

I will go for both and i will invest 60% of my assets on Ethereum, and invest 40% of my assets on Bitcoin. The reason is that Bitcoin price is already high up at the moment and probably it's price will raise in a small amount up to $20,000 this 2018, I believe now is the best time for Ethereum price to rise up slightly, but Bitcoin price is raising slowly.

Of course it is bitcoin, every cryptocurrency movement depends on bitcoin price because every time that bitcoin goes up or down almost all of cryptocurrencies are affected.

Both currencies have a basis to continue their respective valuations, especially in the medium and long term, and there is still great volatility in the short term.
BTC has a small advantage, as it is the best-known crypto in the market, and is opening the door for the entry of large investors and companies through futures contracts and the imminence of ETFs that will also be traded in the market. However, BTC needs to solve its network issues asap.

Some people are selecting ETH over BTC, this is not a bad take, but it's better to value both of them. Because BTC started this concept, and ETH changed the future of this weak concept with smart contracts.

Both are the best coin among the other coins, I think ETH will continue to grow and shine, the demand is also more and more, but bitcoin will remain the first and continue to be the best coin in 2018.
Well you're right, both of them are leading; they both on the process of being stable cryptocurrency when it comes to their value and I think these two coins will remain on top this year. Their value will increase again.

I do not think that ETH will be able to catch up with the BTC in 2018, but it has incredibly great prospects, the idea of developers is quite amazing, and they do not hesitate with the implementation. On this ETH will certainly be expected to grow, but that's how fast it will be unknown.

if I still have the possibility of choosing ETH, especially for now the ETH price is getting more and more yearly, maybe ETH price in the future can compete with BTC, so chances are I will still choose ETH.

some time ago in 2018 I just chose BTC as a coin for investment. but after I saw the movement of coin cryptocurrency ETH I started thinking to have ETH as an investment because it is profitable. so I will divide 50% to buy BTC and 50% to have BTC as it is profitable.

Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?

It depends on your capital, bitcoins is much more expensive than altcoins and because of that, not everyone is really investing on btc depending on their budget. There are a lot of people who believes in ethereum coins and this year, the value of eth grows to 1k dollar and it might be the sign that eth has the potential to surpass bitcoins in the future.

Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?

I think both of them showed really incredible rising in 2017, but in my opinion, 2017 was the year of the bitcoin.

I hope that 2018 will be the year of ethereum and it will reach more than $1500 in the first half of 2018.

Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?

BTC will be still on the leading position with price and capital amount, but ETH will grow and will bring more benefit, so I am for ETH.

As I see it, Ethereum will offer something very new, also the new forks of ETH will take place, and it will get the better positions increasing its capitalization. However, Bitcoin will stay on it first place. At least this 2018 year.

Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?

I think this two are the best coins to make long-term investments in the cryptocurrency. I don't know that ethereum can reach the price or the popularity of the bitcoin, but I think both of them have really good potentials to reach better prices in the future.

I think its gonna be the year of ETH. Eth is faster, costs less compared to bitcoin. Bitcoin is already don't have any use in everyday life or can't be used because of it's high transaction fee and slower transactions. So Ethereum will be a clear winner.
But we can't say if some other coins that is not in the picture yet overtake both BTC and ETH.
Anything can happen.

Hmmmm  That is hard to tell. Both will have significant technological changes - Lightning and Casper.I think eth is best but Bitcoin has higher market cap. My strategy is hold both of them.
