BTC or ETH in 2018

My friends said that ETH will be the top this year. So, IMO, why not choose both? I think both are worth it, perhaps you can divide is as 50-50 to invest it or etc

I would choose both if possible. But only one, I choose Bitcoin, I believe in 2018 Bitcoin will continue to grow strongly. Although it's experiencing strong fluctuations, its value is constantly decreasing but in the future, its development is still very good and its potential is also great. I also enjoy Ethereum, it is showing great growth in recent times but I will put my trust in Bitcoin.

For me of course bitcoin because ,its already recorded in history as Mode of payment like buying stuff online.Even restaurant in my country here in philippines are now accepting btc for payment .Its globally recognized but still a lot of people want to pull down the btc but they cant.The price now is just a correction in will go to moon very soon and am pretty sure btc will reach 10k$ .But ethereum is great also.Nice platform its the prince of bitcoin.The second crypto that will follow btc not in value but its progress or success  road.

I've invested on both coins since both of them will surely give me profit. Though they're on dip right now, I can see that the market is recovering. Eth is moving on a faster pace but bitcoin will surely go skyrocketing this year. So, I have to choose both and just hold until the right time comes.

Obviously it will still be Bitcoin that will rule in 2018 and will always be. Ethereum is also a good cryptocurrency but it is hard to dethrone a king that has been in the throne for a long time.

I really think we must spend money for both.bitcoin is the mother of market, but it's too expensive for daily use. eth and some other coins may play a better role in real world use of crypto.

In my option, ETH will increase faster than BTC unless coming lightning to BTC. ETH is really fast and BTC is slow. We will see what will happen

If we base it from prices I would say bitcoin will still be the most expensive coin more expensive than ETH, but in terms of performance and growth I think ETH will rule that line. It might growth to a few thousand $ increase in value however it will not defeat the current price of a BTC maybe not this year but I see a lot of potential of ETH to replace BTC in the coming years. Due to increasing transaction fees of BTC people will soon think of other cryptocurrency and that could be ETH. So if you are still starting out i would really advise to start with ETH rather than BTC if you want to earn large profits.

In general, I share your opinion about ethereum. I think in 2018 it will be more successful than bitcoin. But while it's too early to forget bitcoin, the lightning network will soon start working and it can change a lot.

The price of bitcoin has seen some corrections over the years, but really there have only been a few deep cuts. With the bearish dips in price over the past few weeks it’s always good to look at the historical view of value drops and the long term achievements of the cryptocurrency economy in general. I truly believe there is a great future of Bitcoin. And BTC will always remain as the king of cryptocurrency with the highest market capitalization. Though Ethereum is also very popular after BTC but if Bitcoin ever loses its existence then no other Altcoins will be able to exist, the trust upon cryptocurrency market begins with the trust on BTC.
