I would say, give btc one more year.
Beyond that though, I believe the old horse will finally be overtaken by eth.
In most bubble economies, the market can reach trillions of dollars before bursting.
What that means is that, even though btc may seem expensive, it is actually still in its infancy and can reach 40 to 50k prices.
At the rate that it's been going, it will hit that easily this year.
Me personally, I believe around 40k will be the peak of bitcoin.
Remember, this last bull run two months ago saw btc jump from 8000 to 19k.
By all indicators, the market is setting for another one, probably bringing the price to 25k.
My exit strategy is simple, Once btc hits my projected price I am selling off half of my investments for cold hard cash.
The rest I am going to migrate into what I believe is the next "king of crypto"
Whether that be eth or dag projects, I am still researching.

I don't think either one will dominate 2018. They will probably have higher positive correlation in 2018, so holding either of them wouldn't make so much difference.

I would go with Ethereum, since it is technologically superior when compared to Bitcoin. BTC has enjoyed the no.1 position till now, because it is the original crypto-currency. But its days are numbered, as evident from the declining market dominance.

I'm big on both.. I think the market is gonna really start squeezing alts into lower valuation while bitcoin and ethereum start to soar this year... This will def be the year that the ICO bubble starts to burst and working products with valid blockchain use cases start to take over.. as far as investment I think Ethereum has slightly higher room to grow but bitcoin's dominance and price action will move ethereum as the base of the trunk.. so I'd still go 50/50 if not 60/40 towards bitcoin's way.

I personally believe more in Ethereum although Bitcoin is the king of cpypto now. Ethereum is much more technically improved.

these two coins can rule this year 2018 for sure, but i prefer to buy ethereum as for me that has a limited money to invest, ethereum is way more cheaper than bitcoin though these two coins are good i give a shot in ethereum.

I go with Ethereum. Ethereum is way more better than bitcoin at the moment. Ethereum network is faster, the transaction fee is lower and Ethereum is still evolving and adapting to the latest trends.

I believe bitcoin still own the crown and even hit by many issues and crash several times, bitcoin will arise and overrule the market. A lot of new trader and investor will enter in 2018. The market will be excited.

Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?
Bitcoin will still reign the crypto market. Ethereum will not beat Bitcoin that easily, not this year. Ethereum needs a major enhancment or add feature if he wants to beat Bitcoin but it is still not sure if that will happen because Bitcoin developers will not let it happen easily. |

I truly believe there is a great future of Bitcoin. And BTC will always remain as the king of cryptocurrency with the highest market capitalization. Though Ethereum is also very popular after BTC but if Bitcoin ever loses its existence then no other Altcoins will be able to exist, the trust upon cryptocurrency market begins with the trust on BTC. Bitcoin and the Ethereum are still at the low prices now.  This is a good time to invest.Bitcoin ~$9800 and Ethereum ~$750.They definitely rice up to very high prices.I think ethereum has big potential to go high price in short time period than the Bitcoin.I think you should invest in both coins.But it's very good if you invest a large amount to Ethereum than the Bitcoin. In my opinion it's ETH. Of course the price of ETH depends on the price of BTC. That's the reason because Eth can't grow too much.
But as for functionality and perspectives, ETH is on the first in place!

In my own opinion, I strongly believe in the both of them as the both have the highest market capitalization on coinmarketcap.
The both have strong fundamentals and I have majority of my holdings in bitcoins and in etherum.
Their is no doubt as the both would grow significantly in 2018.
