As a newbie in crypto trading, it is better for you to invest first in coins with less than a dollar.  You can try to invest in IOST and another similar token with less than a dollar in price.  If you have a lot of patience and risk taker, you can try to invest in token during ICO where the price of the token is much lesser and have the potential to pump up when the ICO succeeded but prior to engaging in any cryptocurrency, remember the cliche, do not invest money you cannot afford to loss.  Know the basics and nature of cryptocurrency so, you will not be affected by your emotions once your cryptocurrency deflates its value so you will know will decide accordingly when is the time to buy or sell tokens.

This is the biggest problem of most people who want to earn in crypto trading specially the newbies, they think that crypto trading is just an easy job that they can earn money by just buying it in a cheaper price and sell if the price goes higher. But they don't know how risky it is, because of the high volatility of its market that could be so difficult for them to predict its price that can led them to lose a lot of money instead of earning.

 I can suggest you to go on the coinmarketcap and then you can see the history and behavior of every each individual going listed, you can see which coins are doing well and invest in them, not investing in everyone.

Its bad to hear that you loss 80% of you're investment.well, many coins are good profit but you need to research first what coin you trade before you buy and sell it.research is important if they have a new coins or old coins in the market.if you find a good project of some coins.then buy and hodl it don't be greedy.just be patient but if you need to gain fast profit.you can buy it and sell it in a smaller profit.I think that is enough to gain everyday if you're capital is 100$.
