Yep, current it costs 500 GAS (actually 490 as the first 10 GAS is free). To deploy a smart contract which in todays price of $68 it would costs roughly $34,000. But this approach to pricing has pros & cons. One positive due to the high cost of contract creation is that it should help disincentivise scammers and fake ICOs which unfortunately have plagued such platforms as Ethereum.
