I’m beginning to see a pattern here. Brown people don’t trust bitcoin because it fails to use curry powder and rice on a daily basis.

      Man oh man, thus sure is such a bad news for all the Indonesian crypto currency users/lovers there in Indonesia. I sure cannot imagine how sad and devastated all Indonesians are with this news. I hope this decision of the government of indonesia gets revoked because clearly, a lot of people there are very dependent it crypto currencies for extra income for their daily needs. This will certainly effect their people. Might even cause lots of people getting out of country just to be able to use and earn cryptos.

I'm so sorry to all who have a bitcoin in indonesia. I feel you brother, it's not easy to accept that they prohibit bitcoin in your own country. I hope they will accept in the near future.

Why would you feel sorry for them? They are still able to hold it, sell it in foreign exchanges, they can wait for their government attitude to change or leave the country with their money and pay taxes somewhere else. They aren't being oppressed in any way. Borders are open, when your country does something that you don't approve of change the country.

It's not as simple as just walking across a border and then starting a new life in a different country. There's a lot of things that can tie someone down; employment, family, business, assets, just to say the least. I would have to assume that you live in Europe if you think that crossing borders is that simple all around the world, and I can assure you that there can be a lot of unwanted effort to try and do something like that.

They're also a bunch of islands, which requires either a boat ride or a plane ticket to change to another country if you don't live on one of the main islands. The typical wage is relatively low. Do you think they're going to be able to just go to another country and walk away with most of their assets at the same time?

I don’t know if that’s true dude. These guys look like they could swim pretty well if they had to.

They seem to be happy just like they are. Maybe they don’t need bitcoin anyway. LOL

"Ban Bitcoin" what does it actually mean?
Bitcoin is not a user, not a site or kinda web service.
Ban network ports and domains won't work, because people widely use VPNs.
Please share your guess, how to ban Crypto from technical point of view.

Exactly, what does that mean. I mean people that have internet can still use a wallet, right?

Just like South Korea did and afterwards reverse herself. Indonesia will not be difference, they will be official communique clarifying the government position on Bitcoin.

People that have Internet and VPN can still:
1) mine;
2) trade;
3) invest: ICO, lending, stacking.

I agree with you. If they ban bitcoin in any country means, we can use of VPN.It is the best option for the ban issue. Some may worry about their investment and invested money. But the fact is they no need to worry at all.VPN is the simple solution they have with him.

Indonesia is not banned bitcoin, but Indonesia only prohibits using bitcoin as payment, because in Indonesia only legitimate payment according to the government is rupiah money, that's what I read from news, if Indonesia banned the use of bitcoin then Indonesia will lose because bitcoin can increase the state of a country , there are now many developed countries that legalize bitcoin

In my country ,bitcoin is legal. I was very happy about it,If it is became a illegalized currency .I won't get panic and sell my holding bitcoin, at that I will just hold the bitcoin and make use of bitcoin with the help of VPN.It will switch your location.
