I, like many other people who deal with crypto-currencies, are strongly opposed to KYC projects, so I only express my negative attitude about this process and just want to understand what purposes KYC is used for

This is a unnecessary hassle for everyone involved. But we can't do anything about it if it concerns country regulations or the law has something to do with it. I really don't see any logic behind this move if there's someone who knows, please enlighten me.

I did the signature campaign for Gladius and they are asking for KYC now as well if we want to get paid. I still do not understand why. They didn't mention that before the start of the campaign.

Even AMM did the same thing however they did pay me even though I didn't submit KYC. I like Gladius project but most likely I won't get paid now since don't want to go through KYC.

Avoid, new precedent trying to be set, the more people the give in, then you'll have to give you info out for every single airdropped/bounty out there.
It's very dangerous for you to trust these non-reputable individuals with your information and for the future of cryptos as a whole, yet no one is discussing this.

You can blame Polymath for this, they don't want to work harder filter to filter puppets, so instead they want your ID.

Edit: There is probably nothing we can do to stop this, because the vast majority of people trying to do airdrops are very likely to hand over their info without a second thought. This has major repercussions, some of the worst repercussions we will see ever in crypto.

The best thing you can do if you're reading this, is to not give in to these new information whores, who are more than likely to flip your IDs on the darkweb for a profit.

I agree, it is not a good trend and I fear it will only become worse. Pay attention by sending your ID documents to the ICOs!

I also just doing it for 1 bounty. I force myself to do that because i will not get paid if i dont fill it.
Actually i dont really like to do that because as the cryptocurrency characteristic that we need anonymous. Why more ico need that.

The whole idea of anonymity from this is badly damaged. They think that this way they will exclude users with multiple accounts. But no one will prevent these users for a small payment to ask to undergo this procedure of his friend.

It nice that the bounty programs starting using the KYC which I think it will stop the act of people using alt account to register in other spam the bounty provider and will also lead to genuine bounty member.

Correct it is simple nonsense that you need to give away your information in order to receive something for which you already worked, many people are going to give in but at the same time there are many that are simply not going to ever bother with bounties like that ever again and that is going to decrease the exposure of projects and that is going to make those projects fail.

I am categorically against the provision of all sorts of personal information in the process of the signature campaign on the part of the participants in such a campaign. Terms of campaign signatures should be clearly stated on the first page of the campaign, so that every bounty hunter knows what information is required of him and decides whether to join him in this campaign or not. The demand for additional information at the end of the campaign, when ICO is already completed and issues with tokens are being resolved, is already inadmissible. Such information is mainly aimed at not paying tokens for the work done to all participants and, in fact, is a fraud on the part of the company conducting the ICO.
Also a very bad trend on the part of these companies is the need for various requirements for paying tokens for the work done after the end of the ICO on various other sites, such as telegrams and others. This is unlawful arbitrariness. There is one site - bitcointalk and all questions should be solved only in it.

This is a good thing for a typical bounty hunter,if a KYC is required in every campaigns there will be less spammer and multi account registrants, cheaters will be rare in some point of time, quality campaigns will be given to us.

negative. I dont want to do KYC. Scammers will still find a way to get around KYC

Can you give a reason why you dont want to do kyc? Is there any specific you can tell us here? Thanks
I agree with your opinion, scammers can be still around although with kyc.

first you need KYC to join ICO, then you need KYC to join large exchanges to be able to trade crypto, and now you also need KYC for bounty...
I dont like the way it goes.. crypto is about anonymity , that's one of the reason why its popular and accepted by the community..

There's a new rule about this now? Whoa! Shocked But I don't agree on this as I prefer not submitting my much valued documents for security reasons. They shouldn't force bounty hunters to submit such delicate file for such reasons.

Really I can't stand all that KYC formalities in any sphere, not only in bounties. It's my personal information and I don't want to share that data with anybody. The most weird personal identity experience I had when one of the big companies asked me for my photo with a today newspaper (!) just like that kidnappers does. I understand they want to protect their clients but that is damn sick.

i also dont agree with needed KYC to join campaigns and getting reward for the  bounties. but i once tried KYC for the AMM bounties, but even the participant dont have any requirements to be KYC'ed they getting paid also. so whats the purpose of KYC if someone can get reward even they havent.

Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.

I am not aware of any project that is asking for a KYC for bounty. At the end of the day, a bounty hunter is not buying any service, simply getting a tip for supporting a project.

It may be related to avoiding duplicate accounts or users which is a rule in many campaigns.

Which projects are requiring them??
I know of INS Ecosystem Bounty and Gladius Bounty Campaign

I dont go into any bounties that require KYC. It is simply not necessary and i find it suspicious that they are interested in that kind of information.

many various answers related to the determination of KYC where the participants there are who approve and disapprove of the KYC because KYC will be more suitable if applied to investors because investors use large funds while the bounty hounter does not use large funds. so I think bounty hounter is not suitable for applied KYC.

it was just the matter of time, for for projects using bounty bonuses to use kyc for the bounty hunters. This is in one part because of the legislation on how you pay a servic and then accounting department having problems and in the other part free potential customers data and also protection of multiple bounty accounts of just one person. Crypto scene entering mainstream.
