I always think the best is to understand of how risk averse person you are. I like hedging by buying top alts from top 10, or at least btc and etherium. But I would always invest not less than 50% of my funds into good ICO project like REMME, which is one of the most promising current projects.

If your intention is making huge money and you are willing to take a risk, you should go for an ICO. Making huge profit from an ICO is more possible than from investing a coin/token. But, never forget that the possibility of losing all money is also more high for an ICO.
